Hi all.
I am an occasional gamer.
Can you tell me what all games can i play on my Geforce 7300GT 128bit 256MB video card and at what res/settings?
I have a Core2Duo 46300, 1GB ddr2 ram.

Not necessarily latest games, but games from 2005,2006 would do.

thanks!

Elsder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, Caesar 4, Secret-Files:Tunguska and many many more. For more Goto nzone.com, select a game and click "Can you run this game"

pretty much anything, but you'll need to turn down the settings quite a bit in the very latest games. you might want to upgrade your ram to 2 GB, regardless.

SLI 7300GT would be a waste of time and money. A single 7600GT will be faster than two 7300GTs.

So you mean to Enable SLI in games i need two 7300GTs? When i read reviews about 7300GT, it showed increased frame rate with SLI turned on... what did that mean?

SLI isn't really a setting to be turned on or off. SLI simply refers to the usage of two nvidia cards together. You also need a motherboard that you can hook up 2 video cards to, which you probably don't have. Even though you might think having 2 cards will double performance, it doesn't. Like Noema said, you'd be better off getting a single better card than two 7300's.

SLI = 2 or more video cards, sharing the load to render 3D.

Did you read the wikipedia article?

While I agree that 2 GB of RAM would be better than 1, it would be a waste of $$. For <100 you could get a 7600gt which would have much better returns than another gig of ram.

nVidia SLI only works on an nForce4 (nVidia) mobo with either 2x16x PCIe or 2x8x PCIe.

There 3 ways in which nVidia uses SLI: Split-frame rendering where each SLIed videocard divided up the screen according to the complexity of said scene.

2) This is the main one: Alternate-frame rendering (AFR)

3) And for general compatability we use Alternate-frame rendering2 (AFR2)

Unfortunately Nvidia's drivers do not support vsync even though they claim to do so.
I find this extremely annoying as I hate screen tearing. I want my game to run like a continuous movie. Nice and fluid, know what I'm sayin'?:)
