Since I'm talking about games in general I'm putting this in OT. But if an opp feels that it belongs in one of the other forums feel free to move it.

So what video games, or other game (NOT SPORTS) are you playing right now? Or that you just finished. And how are/were they?

Me:

Now Playing:

Dragon Age Origins - Loving it. Though I'm a newb at D&D RPGs and will probably do horribly. We shall see.

Star Ocean for PSP - Have to get back to this. Seems a but boring for a JRPG but then I just started.

Just Finished:

New Super MArio Bros Wii - It's Super Mario Bros 3 but with updated graphics!! Wonderful game if you like old school platforming with old school difficulty too (at least if you go for completion). Finished it with getting all 3 coins in all levels.

Zelda Spirit Tracks - Another fantastic Zelda game. Extremely similar to Phantom Hour glass but still very very enjoyable.

I started back up Diablo 2 after a near 4 month hiatus. I still was able to play my 93 Strafeazon and my 91 IK Barb.

I really need to start Tochlight.

I really miss playing WoW, but it was very time consuming. I was in the #2 Alliance guild on my server and raided something all the time.

Kingdom Hearts 2 using PCSX2 on my Athlon X4 2.8GHz/785G integrated graphics w/XBOX 360 Controller. Runs nearly flawlessly, and probably faster than a real PS2.

I tried playing spirit tracks bet eh. Too much like the first and I cannot stand the touchscreen controls. Story is also lame.

diablo 2. looking for some type of PC adventure game to get into tho.

I would like one thing changed in the next patch for Diablo 2:

The ability to disable the torch's on screen fire (hellfire??? I am not playing it right now) effects. My Amazon crashes games left and right with it firing off so much.

Can't wait for Diablo III to come out. Looks like it won't be this year though, maybe even not next.

Dragon Age - second playthrough, still enjoying it. (I play on easy and in real time)

Mass Effect - 3rd or 4th time trying to play it, still having a hard time getting into it.

Got a post in PC gaming about Dragon Age point assignment. Could you give me a few pointers there? If not that's fine too.

Thanks to the Steam sale and some Christmas gifts I'm playing a shit ton of games right now. Primarily Dirt 2, Dragon Age, Stalker Clear Sky, GTA IV and Assassin's Creed. I'm enjoying all of them.

You really don't want my advice. I'm pretty bad at these kinds of games. I just put points into whatever attribute I feel like at the time.

MAYBE.... You know Blizzard (It'll be done when it's done). They broke Star Craft II into 3 separate games (well sort of). Diablo III will definitely be released some time significantly after SCII so it might not even be in 2011?

That's what I was complaining about in my other post here. Did you manage to finish the game on your first play through? Did you play through on normal?

Just finished S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC after putting it aside two years earlier. Enjoyed it, very good game, but wasn't as great as the reviews made it out to be. Doubt I would replay it.

Currently playing Fallout 3. The environments are very nicely done, and quests are interesting with lots of freedom and choices, but combat is clumsy and I find I have to rely on VATS way too much. Would consider replaying to try a different playstyle.

Need to get back to beta-testing The Dark Mod and it's fan missions.

I played on easy. Found it way more fun to play in real time than constantly pausing. Even the game itself recommends playing on easy for people who play in real time. It is too easy at times though, but I prefer to play an easy game over one that requires me to reload and retry areas over and over.

I also don't control any character but my main character. I just usually let the other party members do what they want, and hardly even change their combat tactics from what they start with.

also may check out this Dirt 2 thingy which I downloaded for free with the new vid card. I'm thinking that dirt donuts will suck on the keyboard, but here we go

I got Assassin's Creed for the PS3 when it came out--repetitive but fun. I can't imagine playing that on my lowly PC monitor, though. need the HD goodness to jump around and stab people.

I may hit up Dragon's Age a year or so from now when it's 20 bucks with expansion + extra content...oh, and assuming I still have time for that shit :(

That's what I love(d) so much about Guild wars. I like to drink+ click with those games, and GW allows you to redistribute points every time you head out, because, well, the game is designed to require it--you can pretty much do any type of thing with any character if you're creative enough.

No way to fuck up.
