This is from someone who loved NWN1, BG, BG2 etc etc

(possibly minor NWN2's OC spoiler below)

(Note that I have just started Chapter 2 of MotB, I have not finished the game yet)
The story is of a different theme than NWN2's OC and superior, IMO. I would say voice acting is better, I have not heard anything nearly as bad as the guy that did the narration at the end of NWN2's OC or that female soldier that came in and talked to Captain Barlena that time (I think she was from the NWN 9?) shortly after the quest involving the weapon shipments (could be wrong about the quest and timing, it has been a while). I do not care for the companions in Mask of the Betrayer, of course the only ones I liked from NWN2's OC were Sand and to a far lesser extent, Kelhgar. The setting is much more interesting, I have played countless D&D games set in The Sword Coast, so the new setting outside of it is a welcomed change.

My tastes in RPGS: PlaneScape: Torment and Baldurs Gate 2 (favorites), I disliked NWN1's OC, but liked the first chapter of SoU and the 2nd and 3rd chapter of HoTU.

I'm 95% committed to playing Oblivion as my next game (I'm doing a lot of catching up now that I've built a respectable rig). I've already started Oblivion and I very much likeee. Its vanilla right now, which is apparently a sin, so any suggestions on basic mods to enhance gameplay/visuals appreciated🙂.

CoD4 🙂
pretty sure it's significantly better on the PC than on the 360.. 😎

Other than that...heh, nothing really, the game's awesome. Just reached rank 24, in 2 days

Crysis - finally!

Everything is 30+FPS ... and all is "very high" DX10 - except for shadows, "high"

- at 10x7 .. i dragged my 19" CRT out of the closet

absolutely beautiful! and i am loving the multiple ways to take out targets; i drove a jeep into the water to take out a boat; then i reloaded and swam to the boat and killed the occupants by stealth instead and used it myself

How far along are you? I've played for about an hour or so (taking my time) but really have no desire to go back and play it.

I'm wondering if this will end up like Farcry for me, where I got bored the first time I played it and couldn't make it half way through, then when I finally had a system that could play it at max everything I played it again and loved it.

For some reason the graphics in these 'cry' games are extremely important to me and even though it looks good on my current system, I can't help but think about how much better it would look absolutely maxed out.

Travian during work hours =P
Assassin's Creed (should finish that today or tomorrow)
TF2 (haven't played the new map yet, but will tonight)
Always plugging away at my PES 2008 franchise

After reading some more of the fanfare about the fall release of Fallout 3, I just recently replayed Fallout 1 and played Fallout Tactics for the first time.

You didn't play Fallout 2?

That's arguably the best Fallout title so far.

A rare example of the sequel besting its predecessor.

i really don't know .. i am also making custom timedemos for my self; and that takes hours to get on 30 second one exactly right
it means i clean an entire area of AI [to killing all the duck, and eliminating passing patrol boats for the entire cell] - then i "save" and start to record with FRAPS - my 250GB HD is nearly *full* of FRAPS video

maybe 3 hours into the game if i went straight though it
- and i am having a BLAST .. it is my first game to actually "play" in over 2 months!

Well that's an interesting way of 'playing' the game. I guess I'll try to give it another shot this weekend, though with the new TF2 update it may be difficult to tear myself away from that.

One thing I do want to try is the Sandbox editor, because that looks like fun.

i am afraid of using it .. my goal [i guess like Dr Tim Leary] is to have the Next Gen Enterprise's HoloDeck - that way i can play in the sandbox forever with my self-created friends

Crysis is really a pretty cool game if you like *choice* .. you can almost ignore the suit or depend on it; you can go one of 5 or 6 routes to a goal - even if it is linear as hell

i guess for Crysis2, i want to see a game like Knight of the Old Republic, although the tropics is fine with me - less linearity, much more shooting, a better story then KotOR, a real "AI interactive Party that thinks" and better graphics than Crysis

that i can disappear into
- oh, did that come up again? .. i mean a game world i can 'get pulled int' .. that doesn't sound right either
- but a gamer knows what i mean

i had hopes for Mass Effect for PC
:sigh;
i wanted to be Saren
. . . instead of another 'dipity

Mythos
Rainbow Six Vegas 2

TF2 for the AT nights, also I want to try out the new map/mode

On the back burner:
COD4 multiplayer
Crysis (argh zero-g level)
STALKER w/ mods like faiakes, ABC Inferno, Priboi Story, Oblivion Lost, etc
Joint Operations (mostly just play this with my roommate)
HL2 Ep2 if I ever finish Ep1
Portal (I played it for 20 minutes when it was released and haven't since)

Also would like to get some more time in on:
Battlefield 2
Day of Defeat: Source

And need to reinstall C&C3 and start the campaign over and play them all

In conclusion, way too many great games, and most of them are a bit older.

I am always behind the times when it comes to playing games, mainly due to the fact that I refuse to pay 50-40 bux for a game when I can wait for it to drop to 20.

COD (MP)
BF2142
Oblivion
Dune2000 😛
