haha we got one in my driveway... its the beater for long drives, keeps the miles off our other cars, and damn its like riding on freakin air I swear I was layin down on my bed.

Lincoln Continental. They use them for Limos for a reason. Also Look at the 5 or 6 S series from Mercedes for a nicer finish.

Welp, drove a 2002 Cad DeVille Northstar 275HP 29mpg, (are they lying) boat tonight. Listened to jazz and what a ride. Nor really all that floaty at all, in my opinion. Nice and huggy to the road, but very smooth. Potholes make noise but not much motion. Wonderfully comfortable. 25 thousand miles 40 4yr warrenty 24,988. The mirror tells you which direction you're driving. Very cool.

Looked at one parkavenue for 9995 and infinity FX35 Q30 and Q45 plus lexus is es gs 300 Didn't drive them yet. Guy said the cad was front wheel drive and the engine did look sideways. Northstar. Rather neet under the hood.

For cheap luxury comfort get an Olds Regency (Eighty Eight) loaded and with the nice GM 3800 Series II V6.

Very comfy and quiet. Lots of power (205 hp), well enough anyway.
Great gas mileage on highway (26 - 27 mpg).
Cheap to buy and own. Got my '97 for $6000.
Reliable.
Great sound system.
Looks OK except for the fake vent window in the front.
Did I say comfortable?

On a second thought the Buick Park Avenue with the Supercharged 3800 V6 (240hp) looks like a nice choice.
The leather interior is very comfy + good quality.

Im intruiged by these mirrors..how does it give the direction?

Hehe, I should have revived this thread myself. I picked up my car yesterday. I decided I shouldn't drop a big piece of change for a car to drive a few times a month, so I started looking for an older Buick Park Avenue. I got on the internet and found a Buick dealer in the east bay, looked on my side before and didn't see an older one. Anyway it was a Buick Cad dealer and aside from a 91 Park Ave they just got a 96 DeVille in. Couldn't drive it, but told um I'd be interested. Anyway bought it yesterday after they inspected it put new breaks and smoged it with full two year 24 thou mi warranty. Pretty much in immaculate condition. Small chip on door edge, a tiny dent, slight mark on bumper, but otherwise extremely clean. Interior perfect. Rides like a cloud, but, compared to my merc and buick and maybe even civic, it's extremely fast acceleration wise. Probably 275 horses. Northstar 32 valve v8. The mirror has a little blue readout that tells direction but I'm not so sure it's very accurate. May be just my car. Tells instant and average miles how clean the oil is when to change it when to change transmission oil all kinds of stuff I haven't figured out. Lights go on when it gets dark mirror darkens when head lights shine on it, electric trunk and gas door on key ring, and tons of stuff I haven't figured out.

The main thing is it's got cruise and is very comfortable. Back hasn't hurt in it yet, but I haven't gone very far yet either. Gets about 27 MPG at highway speed. Suspension self levels on turns and steering adjusts to speed. At 85 felt like I wasn't really moving at all. Back seat has it's own air conditioning vents and a ton of leg room. Paid 12500 out the door including 1500 for a complete warranty of all parts for two years probably somewhat high, but the car is in very clean condition. Nice new Michelin tires mag wheels etc new battery spotless engine compartment. I'm happy. A wonderful freeway ride. It's a pearl metallic white with gray and toupe wood grain and leather interior. No more parking in compact car parking places. New it's about 47,000, so used gets a lot for alot less, I think.

Drove a 2002 town car. Was kind of sluggish by comparison and the front end would rise up when you accelerate. It seemed to dive into turns also.

Another cool feature I'd never seen is dual sun visors, for when the sun comes in the window and the windshield. Between the reading lamps is a button for the garage door, the house security system and automatic house lights. I don't need that. The walls at the institution are thirty feet high with barbed wire. 😀

Thanks to all for their input.

It seems like your price range is kind of up there, dunno how high though, but it may be worth it to check out the 745i from BMW, my aunt has one of those and I went on an approximately 200mile trip in it with her, and all I can say is WOW comfort, style performance, it has it all, the seats are amazing, and the leg room I don't think can be matched in anything less than an SUV. It is quite expensive, and I'm sure if it ever needs repairs, you will definitely pay for it...

Yup the Beemer looked good but the costs of repairs kind of turned me off. I didn't drive it, because I read it's a performance luxury cross kind of car and I wanted luxury squared. 275 horses is enough performance for me. I just got back from the cleaner and was flying down a hill at 70 mpg with some small car on my tail. We hit a patch of road where my Caddy started to swing up and down like an ocean liner in surf. Soo cool. I could see the guy's head in the car behind me bounce up and down like he was on a washboard. You can feel the softness of the seats all round you. Damn it's a great ride. Ornery would be proud.

Only sad thing is it's too old to have the 12 changer cd in the trunk. I'm more a news junky than music listener, but I need something for when Bush is on. 😀 Guess I have to go down to Frys and have one installed.
