I had a good pay isp for $19,95/month - fast and everything. But parents didn't want to pay for that. So cable at $29,95/month plus $299 for modem is out of the question. $14,95/month ISP's are just as bad as the free ones.

I want to find any free ISP's that I can that are available here that have no ads...

What's the biggie about "no ads"? I use Altavista Free Access and I just adjust the window to fit under the the one inch banner on the top and it's no big deal. For free? Sheesh, after awhile I don't even notice anymore. Then again, I have a 19 incher ... monitor that is ... and there's lots of real estate to play ... errr ... around with. I'm sure that you could use banner blockers and all that if you really wanted to. You could check that out.

I don't mind to have a small banner shining over the screen. However, most of those free banner based isp will disconnect you in 30-60 minutes if you don't click the resume button. That makes a long downloading very horrible. So I have to hack them and use dun directly.

I tried Freewwweb, I could never sign up, the sign up page always down.

Can't have ads, they lag me WAY TOO MUCH and at 1024x768 they still take too much of my screen. But the lag is my main concern, I'm on 24MB RAM and I already have multiple IE's open and ICQ (which alone takes most of the RAM).

IMO, Altavista is on and off. Sometimes I get disconnected here and there. But for the most part, in my area it's pretty good. I'll be on for 3 hours at times at night and won't get kicked off. So, i'm fairly impressed for a free service. You might as well dl the package and then use it until you find something better. Might as well.
