get friends together for some silly cards, or serious cards if you are so inclined.

By yourself:
-Surf the net
-Watch TV
-Read a book
-Listen to music

With people:
-Everyone chip in for some cheap alcohol, party up!
-Card games
-Board games
-Some kind of sport, lots of free open field/basketball hoops

kids,

Wait no, thats not cheap.

not much fun either

Nah. Just gotta be a kid with 'em. Me and my girls will break out into a full karate match in the middle of the grocery, if we're so inclined.

I've recently stopped surfing so much, and picked up some books. Me and the oldest kid are swapping books now.

A plain old midrange and a putter work just fine too.

Not a bad idea really. My folks were really into birdwatching and got tons of enjoyment out of it.

I really do enjoy watching courting behavior and hearing their calls. Got a Cardinal couple that were doing the dance (and deed) and are now making a nest off my deck. Pretty cool actually when you learn their behavior.
