OK???

I'd like to start off by saying "Welcome Newb!"
Hope you have a good time here.

Then I need to say all the obligatory stuff:

Do a search. - This issue has come up MANY times before. You need to research a little and have an idea of what you want or else we cant help you. Buying a computer is NOT the same as buying a game console. You need to have a clue first.

Be more specific. - I can recommend a $5,000 Alienware that will probably do everything you want it to, but you may not be ready to spend that kind of money.

Trying to get one machine that runs Mac and Windows Operating Systems is probably a little advanced for a beginner like you. If you need incentive to buy a Mac, visit this site.

And for the love of god, tell us how much money you have to spend and exactly what you want to do with your computer.

DAMN!

I took too long coming up with a good response and got beaten by a lifer.

And if he really is asking the same question twice, then maybe he needs to go Mac.

It depends on your budget. A Pc is good for almost every thing except graphics and editing stuff witch your looking to do. So really its how much money you have and what you want to do. Theres alot more games for Pc than Mac but on the other hand Mac is usaly faster and usaly has better graphics. Since your looking to spend quite a bit of money id buy a Mac laptop like the Ibook. Thats just my opinion

This is not newb bashing, but I am EXTREMELY glad you finished your first post with "thats just my opinion". ;)

So early, and yet already we have a reading comprehension problem.
You will do quite well in Off Topic and Politics & News.
If you actually read my post and think about the words I used, I told you I was not bashing and gave you a compliment.

Also, it is in your best interest to NOT get an attitude this early in the game.
Believe it or not, you arent the first person to get bored after the end of the school year and sign up with an online forum for the summer. We have seen many like you before and this past year has been especially fruitful.
The moderators have already stated they dont like attitudes and have cracked down on new guys with pissy attitudes before.

Please take my advice seriously. It may save you some heartache and hair folicles down the road.
