If it's barely had time with it's mother, get some of that vitamin enriched powdered milk(the puppy kind of course). We gave that to our pup since it wasn't even four weeks & it was taken away from it's mother. After a couple months, that little bite sized puppy kibble.

Innova THE BEST food money can buy. It's ALL natural, no by products!

My 7 month old puppy has been on it since we got him 4 months ago. He's grown so much and his coat is beautiful.

they're just going to push the brand they sell
So? It's going to be, what, Hill's, IAMS, or Purina, right? Those are all good brands and each has a huge variety of foods.

Freshly killed kittens, pureed. For extra flavor, put some 'home-made' freshly killed kitten sauce on top!

They mostly like beer.
None of that tightassed microbrew slop. Busch would be good.

Nope ... worst food to buy.
Yeah. I fed my puppy Purina puppy chow as provided by the vet and the pound with my "new puppy package". It caused her to mutate into something barely resembling a dog. She became really aggressive and dug holes in the concrete right down to the foundation. She killed 4 neighborhood kids. I am currently in the middle of a huge lawsuit against the pound, the vet, and Purina as I am serving out 4 consecutive life sentences for my negligence in feeding her the "worst food".

Don't know if it was the good genes or the food, but my brother and sister and mother got puppies from the same litter (all three girls) and Mom fed her's IAM's puppy dry for large breed and they fed their's whatever was on sale and her's is much healthier looking than the other two - stronger, fuller coat, ears stand up straight and the others flop, etc. They hang out together a lot and Mom's is friskier, faster, and definitely the alpha dog of the three. She still feeds her's IAM's. Could be the food, could be the genes.

Iams lamb and rice..if they still make it. Fed our Pits, Rots, and Boxer that. All grew up strong and healthy with beautiful coats.

Hmmmm ... I guess you'll take offense when people say McDonalds is bad for you. Thats what I meant you idiot. Anyways, people have fed their dogs Purina, Iams, Puppy Chow throughout the years and yes it's true nothing bad happens to them. However, it's also true that feeding them certain ingredients will help prevent certain illnesses and give them a beautiful coat.

I've found out that certain things such as corn is not good for dogs. They can't digest it that easily, but they dont know any better. You as the dog owner should be able to pick something healthy for them. I guess Reel would feel better feeding his kids Mcdonald everyday.

Did you just come over from P&N? You make outrageous claims commonly presented by the dog food companies without any actual substantiation while calling someone a name. Then you attempt to make it personal and suggest that by feeding a certain type of dog food I would also feed my children fast food every day.

Please get a sheet of paper then sit down and brainstorm some intelligent support to your argument. Perhaps you could provide scientific research to support your claim (preferably not sponsored by a company selling dog food). When you come back, we will all read your reply and maybe you will convince us that the dog foods that people have used for years are actually killing our dogs. Thanks.

My family's always used Iams. I don't know if it's the best, but I've seen a lot worse (I bought some cheap dog food to feed to my pet rats and it was really greasy and gross looking-- I didn't finish the bag).
