Wow that would be scary. Where was this?

Video is from a couple years ago in Kenya. Dude was stuck there for over 6 HOURS!

Rescue was provided by the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in the Tsavo region of Kenya:

Chopper pilot was 22 & his brother, who pulled the guy up, was 20. Dang, I was flipping pizzas at that age!! lol. Great backstory:

They both have awesome Instagrams:

They previously saved a lost 4-year-old who was missing for 6 days:

I'm either having a stroke, or the edison style led in my lamp is getting wonky. Seems to be getting brighter, and pulsing a bit. On it's way out?

When we were taking care of my dad, my wife bought a cheap touch lamp off ebay that came with its own (replaceable) bulb. Night 1, the bulb *exploded* (in a 'picking bits of it up from around the room' sort of way).

The LED bulb in our hallway is glitching, going off occasionally for a split second or second. I threatened it by putting out a replacement bulb in its vicinity and it seems to be behaving itself for now.

The other day I noticed a whiff in the bathroom that *I think* might be a sign that the shower curtain needs to go through the wash again, and the whiff seemed to be coming from the curtain. I mentioned this to my wife who handles all things laundry.

My wife was then doing some laundry stuff (I thought she was hanging up fresh laundry) and asked me to smell the shower curtain. I thought she had run it through the wash and wanted me to check that it was smelling OK again, so I properly stuck my noise into it and took a deep breath. This was a mistake.

I stayed up until 3AM to watch the Jay's loose in the 18th inning of game 3 in the series. I feel like a zombie today working from home.
I was up until 12am here. I had forgotten they were playing until I saw something in my feed pop up, so I turned it on during the 13th inning. I'm rooting for the Jays for sure.

Decided to make coffee out of our older coffee maker and used tap water instead of filtered. Added some of my wife's chocolate mocha powder mix to it. Coffee tastes like hot garbage. I'm forcing myself to drink it though, don't want to spend $ getting another cup at the shop.

Ha not yet! I don't start interim until Jan 1st, and from what I understand, I did well enough on my first interview at the other place that I'm still in consideration. Their city council will discuss the interviewees in a closed session meeting next Tuesday so I guess I'll find out sometime next week.

Dumbass turds on this forum trying to convince us Tariffs are good and we should pay them.

That's one of the few things Trump has done that I'm against. If the goal is to try to make life easier and more affordable, tariffs aren't the way to go about it. Should be giving tax breaks instead.

That ballroom though is going to be huge, the best ballroom America has ever seen.

Watching Fox coverage of World Series and the medicine ads are just scary. You mean I might die from taking this medicine? And I need a discount coupon to afford it?

I booked a $36/night motel room for next week. I’m curious as to how bad it will be.
When I checked in, the people in front of me in line were complaining about water damage in their room. Tonight, I had to get my room key reset. The guy in front of me was complaining about cockroaches. At $36/night he should be glad that there are no mushrooms growing in the carpet or cane toads living in the toilet bowl.

Check-in consists of a kiosk with someone in India onscreen. It works. The room itself is okay. The place I used to stay jacked their rates from $89/night to $200 so they priced me out.

Working from home today, VPNed in, made my coffee, gonna be a good day, right? Nope, IP phone and one of our monitoring apps was not connecting but everything else was. So screwed around with that for a while not getting anywhere, called help desk which is about as futile these days. Some weird VPN routing issue I guess. Coworker who is in the office kept insisting I go in the office but I had just poured my coffee. Really didn't feel disconnecting everything and having to do that.

HD said they will call me back so said I'll give it an hour. Well lo and behold it started to work! The biggest thing was the IP phone since if I can't take phone calls I'm kinda useless being at home. So glad that works now.

Guess this is a FWP that solved itself. Get to stay home.
