Outlook and really all of Office 2000 was peak performance, after that it started to go downhill. Now I find you always have to hunt for stuff, while before it was just all at your finger tips.
One of the UX things of Outlook that really pisses me off though is that CTRL+F is not Find, but instead, Reply All. So say you have an email open for reading and want to find something in it, normal instinct in any other application would be to hit CTRL+F and start typing the keyword, but in Outlook that will compose an email reply to the entire company with the keyword in the body. I have seen instances where enter actually sends the email instead of doing a new line probably depending what part of the window is "active", so this could potentially send that email out faster than you even realized what happened. Thankfully it's never happen to me, but it's come close.
