Just call me the Ghost of Christmas Future. This morning, I had to tell two clients that their projects are dead in the water because they didn't file the f'in' paperwork with the permitting agencies when they were supposed to and agencies closed their files without action. The paperwork would have been rubber stamped had they sent it in like they were supposed to. I had to tell a third client that their project is dead dead because the client didn't do their due diligence and they don't own the minerals they assumed they owned. Doesn't anyone read the deed before they buy? Oh well, billing rate is the same.

I run my home internet off a walmart cell phone just so I don't have to deal with the big players. They switched over to verizon this past year, and it'll be a hard switch Nov 2024, so I'll probably do something else. I might get a Tmobile hotspot. My service is very limited, but it's worth it to not have to deal with comcast. If I get tired of it, I just stop paying. No bullshit.

For xmas last year, My casino gave $1000 freeplay to everyone in the top 2 card tier level.

This year they're giving $1400 in credit to buy items from their gift catalog.
i thought great.. 40% increase!

It's nice stuff like computers, iphone's, samsung 23 phone, webber grills, jewelry, gucci purses, etc. All with free ship to your house.

but everything is msrp prices!
The Gucci purses start at $3k and go up to 5 figures. WTF for a purse???
(You can also use your comps at 1:1 to help the buy.)

Anyway, it's still like $1k worth of free stuff if i were to shop it myself.

But here's the kicker:
The redemption has to be in person and they're doing it is this weekend (xmas eve)!
They have a big conference room to showcase most if not all the items for you to look at and touch.
If you can't make it (like me) then you lose out.
(They sent out email over a month ago with the redemption date but i'm not in the state this weekend.)

With last year's freeplay, you can use it last 2 weeks of Dec.

I guess the bean counters wanted more people people to come in this weekend

Payroll processed the increase in HSA contributions for next year one paycheck early so now I have to withdraw the excess contribution for this year. The custodial bank requires wet signature so I had to download, print, sign, scan, and email the form back to them. Single payer would be too complicated they say.

No spinning. This was my 1st attempt. Some mistakes were made, like tossing the capacitor when I took it apart..😒..so on or off, no dimming.

I was rushing yesterday to get some Christmas cards before everything closes after my night shift, and realized that one of the gift cards I bought is nowhere to be found. No idea what happen to it. Looks like I'm out $50. Going to go to Shoppers when everything is open to explain my situation but I doubt they'll just give me a card. I don't even have the receipt either, I was trying to find that to see if the gift card # might happen to be on it. Walked out the store with everything in one bundle, and put the bundle on the table at the house but when I went to sign the cards just now, the gift card and receipt were not there.

The person at the cash was super busy because they only had one cashier and the self checkouts were giving people trouble so she had to go check on that too so it's actually possible I never even got the gift card or the receipt in the middle of all that. I was half asleep and in a hurry so that didn't help.

If they are not using a dumb point of sale software, it should have a reprint option. For cases where the printing fails to happen correctly. I think you won't be out $50.

got The Outer Worlds Spacer's Choice Edition from Epic for free so I figure I'll install it. I already finished the game (also from Epic) I got with the video card so I figure I'll load up old save file and play the DLCs. Nope, you have to start over. And WeMod doesn't have cheat for the Spacer's Choice edition for Epic.

Gift card disaster averted. They had it at the cash, and I DID have the receipt. And it was not at Shopper's but at Metro. I walked into Shopper's then everything kind of came back to me. That's why I didn't bother getting the receipt it was just a bunch of Christmas cards I ended up getting there. Forgot that I had went to Metro after and that's where I got the actual gift card. Was using self checkout at Metro since I had alcohol and in the process of having the clerk come over I must have forgot to put the gift card in the bag. The self checkouts there are super fussy about moving things around and I had already set it down so couldn't move it after.

I was so out of it that day after having to get up early from night shift so I can rush and get all that done. I was originally suppose to be off that day so I would have had more breathing room. My own fault for waiting last minute for Christmas shopping, it just makes everything more chaos and more prone for dumb errors.

What causes the blue dot under the headlight? It isn't something that's actually there, but with some orientations, I can see it in my mirror. I'm guessing it's some kind of interaction with the reflector. I use the dimmest lights I can get. Bonus is they're usually cheaper and more durable. If you can't see with standard 30 year old halogens, you shouldn't be on the road.
