And student loans. I paid my own way through college 35 years ago, WTF?

Edit: and email spam for ‘revolutionary' women's bras. The least they could do was include some super hot pics of busty women. Have no idea how I got on that list.

Just got off the phone with a warranty guy. Said he couldn't help me with my 2024 Ford. I think my feel may have been hurt.🙁

Hell...I bought the extended warranty and maintenance package with both my 2018 and 2019 F-150's...I still get the letters and emails from Ford offering me an extended warranty.
 
My home coffee started to taste like ass again. It's this nasty after taste immediately after taking a sip. I did everything to try to clean that machine and it just randomly puts out crap coffee still I think I'm due to buy a new machine at this point.

Maybe need a filter for the water? Or clean the part of that machine that hold the water?

Or better yet...cut coffee completely. Another trim from your budget.

Don't think we have anything like that here, and they definitely would not be open these days. I think the issue is beyond cleaning, I've let it sit overnight with all sorts of stuff like vinegar and CLR etc then ran it 50+ times with more. Though I wonder if it's somehow my grinder causing the weird taste, I will have to try with preground coffee to see if I get the same thing. It's going to be hard to tell though since the issue is random. Like it won't always do it.

I've always been curious to try a french press though so might be a good excuse to buy one. 😛 I'm actually cutting down on coffee so I can even go with something that is more suited for a couple cups only.

Im on Obamacare with full subsidies.
my co-insurance is 5% so when i needed an xray, i asked for a MRI instead because why not and the doc said ok.

well, apparently, MRI's are at 50% co-pay on the plan i'm on. 🙁
doh!

still, i cant complain.. only $150 (my share).

when i used to have work insurance, my co-pay for MRI was more than that 😱

I caved and bought a Cuisinart coffee machine. I will give it a shot tomorrow and see. I kinda wanted something a bit fancier anyway with a timer and just more controls. Also I feel old that they call physical controls and buttons a "vintage look". lol.


It also has a self clean mode, not sure how it works exactly but instructions say to put vinegar and water and run it only once, I don't know if maybe it has a pump to cycle it automatically or something to automate it more instead of running it manually a bunch of times. That was probably my main issue I should have been doing that more often with the other one. I only did it after it became a problem.

I do think the issue is my current machine though as it started to produce this bad tasting coffee ever since that time it started to act weird and it never really got better even after I fixed it. I basically cleaned it a bunch of times and it stopped acting weird, but I still get the oddball bad tasting coffee. It almost has a "stale water" taste to it when it does that. I'll keep the machine for now until I can certify that was really the problem though. I may take it apart out of curiosity to see if the problem is obvious. Or maybe I'm better off not knowing... lol. If it turns out it's NOT the machine then I'll keep it as a spare or for camp if I do end up buying property.
