The new Facebook interface is so bloody slow and bloated, though I don't know if that is really a "problem", it's just going to drive me to go on it less, which is probably a good thing.

I don't know why I am shopping 70-200mm lenses when I already have a decent 75-300 IS and I have not taken the camera out of the bag for at least 8 months. Bought a 77" carbon fibre tripod several weeks ago, again, no good reason.

Now I am shopping camera backpack...
this so much reminds me something

With Ublock origin and Ghostery, Ublock blocks 30 items on the page and ghostery blocks 2-5. Crazy

Not to compare our situation with the hurricane affected areas, but the electric loop our house is on goes out fairly regularly...about 3 blocks of just our street...houses on the next street over are usually unaffected, houses farther down our street are usually unaffected.......fckng gremlins.
My electrified accessory building had no lights the other day. Only the outlet with the air conditioner was working. It wasn't the circuit breaker. Now it has lights but only some outlets are working.

Gremlins.

I rarely went there before the software update, and so far the latest update has made me go there even less. I agree it's pretty bad when viewing on a PC (I never go onto Facebook with a mobile device).

On another note, when you don't go to their site, Facebook sure begins spamming you with emails just to say "So and so posted an update", "So and so posted a new picture".

Scum sucking airline (Delta) cancelled my afternoon flight reservation and rescheduled me for an early morning flight which won't work. They insist that they didn't actually cancel the flight but it was a mere schedule adjustment so they won't refund the ticket. The revolution is coming.
Okay, Delta did refund the money so I was wr… wr…

Now United cancelled my perfect flight and replaced it with a shitty flight. By the time this trip happens, I'll be walking.

I've had a flight in October rescheduled about 4 times now. Booking flights right now is a pretty bad experience.

Spent way too much time wondering why my computer calculator wasn't computing the tangent of an angle correctly. It was set to radians, and not degrees :^S

I always set my calculator to use degrees, but apparently grpn reset to radians on startup. I'm trying out galculator now, and it holds settings. I'll see how it works out. I may be able to change grpn with a config option, but I'll give galculator a shot. Never used it before, and it seems nice.

Wanting to get the parts for my new AMD Ryzen 7 3700X rebuild ordered...
(Just need the motherboard and CPU,as I'm reusing my 32 GB of Corsair DDR4,along with my GTX 1080.)

And both the motherboard-a Gigabyte X570 Gaming X - and CPU are back ordered on Amazon.Lovely...not.

I'm in the office and the AC is on full pin despite it being like 8 degrees outside. I keep forgetting I need to wear long sleeves when I have to work in the office now. I don't understand how they are saving money with a system that makes the AC run more than it needs to. We used to be able to adjust the temp ourselves.

I think I just fell for some kind of scam. Random phone call asking about one of my websites. I should have denied everything and said they have the wrong number, but didn't and probably said more info than I should have such as saying that I do own the site and coded it myself. He was trying to sell me some kind of web service. Realized after they were probably fishing for info, maybe to try to hack it or something. I looked up the number and it's some random guy in Texas. Did not sound texan at all, more like Indian, so the phone number was probably spoofed or that person's phone is hacked.

I have whois privacy so no idea how he got my number but this is not cool at all.

Only third world people answer calls from number they don't recognise.

Could have been something legit like my alarm company or bank or something. I don't know all their ongoing numbers by hand. No one on the internet should even have my cell number, so it kind of bothers me that it's apparantly out there. I also use whois privacy.

err alarm company and bank should have a easily verifiable number

So...I bought an IBuyPower PC last year from Costco. Just didn't want to fuck with building yet another PC. Worked fine until about a month ago when the AIO water cooler decided to fail. (IBP branded)
Since the mfgr 1 year warranty was expired, that leaves the 2nd year through Costco Concierge. They arranged for me to send it to their authorized repair center...which I did. I got it back last week with a decent Coolermaster replacemnent cooler...worked just fine...except the USB ports on the front don't work. The cable that connects to the motherboard was just dangling...since this was repaired by a 3rd party, Costco asked me not to break the "warranty void if removed" stickers until I spoke to the repair place. Of course, they ASSURED me the PC had been through "at least 3 thirteen-point inspections" before it was shipped back to me... 🙄 but the tech told me to break the seals and plug the cable in...except, the pins on the motherboard are bent...something I didn't notice before I called.
Sure, simple enough to straighten them...if this had been my fuck-up, I'd have already done so...but, I'm going to push Costco to make it right...even though this means I'm gonna be without it for another 2+weeks....

This will teach me to be lazy and buy a pre-built. 😡

I'm not going to have time to google the number while the phone is ringing. Faster to just pickup to see what is up. Normally if it's a telemarketer I just hang up, which is what I should have done but they kinda caught me off guard at first and I thought it was a legit call.

Speaking of phone troubles, I'm getting "all circuits are busy" calling a certain number. Probably has to do with the fibre cut we have going on.... lol.

So..my backpack(that I've had for probably 9 or 10 years..) is starting to fall apart.

The zipper on one of the front compartments is broken, and there's a gaping hole left when you try to zip it up.

I thought..how can I channel my inner MacGyver? Decided to seal the gap closed with a strip of Gorilla Tape.

Hopefully, this should work until the new Hoperay brand backpack i ordered off of Amazon arrives on Saturday.

My washer/dryer I ordered got delayed again, for the second time. Apparently it is on a container ship in the middle of the pacific ocean somewhere between South Korea and Los Angeles. Or it may be in LA customs. Or it may have cleared customs and is on a train headed to a warehouse. Nobody knows where it is and nobody knows when it will be delivered. Would be nice to replace my current one that is leaking.
