Finally got a tooth extracted today & now i'm feeling it. It's not horrible but still...
About 3 years ago I visited the dentist after not going for a very long time. I had 4 cavities, one in each side of my mouth on the top and bottom. I had to make two trips to get them taken care of. After the horror of that experience I was determined to never have a cavity again. I have been brushing and flossing every day and have not had a cavity since, and have gotten my checkups and cleanings every 6 months. Dental work terrifies me.

Yeah, about the middle of last year my dentist told me the tooth was broken below the gumline. I didn't know as it wasn't bothering me. Maybe a little sensitive to cold but i've had that before. Anyway, i kept putting it off as it wasn't bothering me. Finally had an appointment to get it done & the Covid mess started so had to keep putting it off again & again. So just finally had it done. Luckily it never bothered me this whole time.

Took a couple ibuprofen this morning & feeling pretty now.

Had a bad back spasm yesterday. Would probably be Okay with an nsaid, except I have a colonoscopy 8 days from now and I can only take Tylenol. My doc suggested a tens unit, hopefully that works better ( huh, just got delivered as I was typing this).

Was trying to join 8 tables of data together with only 52k records each in them. I couldn't get SQL to kick back a result and my workstation went numb and caused me to have to drive to the office after hours. Long story short, it was caused by blanks (not null values) in the columns I was joining on. (the one unique key most of these tables were supposed to have)

#Firstworld problems...now for another beer.

got fibre installed, but router is in hallway. had to drill hole in the door to get cable through so i dont have to wait till regular installation is finished through the wall.
(only Cat5e installation cable and cat6 wall sockets available so have to wait one week for online delivery)

You ran a cable through a door? You know you could have just ran it under the door right?

Please post pics of hole you drilled in door to pass a cable through. Maybe I just have the wrong mental image.

Have no coffee in my apartment.

Think I'll have to buy a coffeemaker, and start planning in coffee bags into my grocery shopping from now on.

Ugh...all these annoying adult decisions.(I'm 37).

I went to not one but two What A Burger places last night around midnight and both of them closed early because of the oncoming storm so I did have to get dinner at Wendy's.

So I went to the pizza place to pick up a pizza because the weather was getting better and right before I opened the door, it started to rain heavily again. After I picked up the pizza and eat a few slides, it stopped raining completely but now the cable tv at the office is out. Whoaaaaaaaaaa....

i have a 27" monitor in portrait mode (2560 long x 1440 wide).
i usual use it for documents so i dont have to page down that often.

well, there's a problem with my 21" monitor (1920 x 1080) so i started viewing webpages on my 27".

holy christ.. my bank website doesnt format correctly!
it doesnt resize to 1440 pixel width.
there's no scroll bar on the bottom of my screen!

thus i dont see the boxes that's usually on the right to enter the amount of $ for my billpay.
i have to tab over and blindly enter the amount and hope i dont fat finger it.

i planned to order a 30" monitor (2560 x 1600) to replace the 21".
now i might have to go bigger and get 2560 x 1920 (or something close to it).

edit:
QHD+ is 3200 x 1800.
4k is 3840 x 2160.

what's the smallest size monitors for these resolutions?

ok technically it is a cut, not a drill, but yea... you get the idea :) girl got to do what she had to do... You wanted first world problems (even though techically i am in a third world now). No water or toilet or shower, but fiber and power. Priorities.
Door opens towards you, this is the opening side.

lmao. Why not just go through the frame? Or wall, at the bottom, no need to even have the cable go up at all. I'm normally not a fan of surface mount wires at all and like to do everything from the basement myself though and use wall plates. You can drill down with a long bit to then fish the wire up.

:D well through the frame it is not possible as i only had confected cable and no 1/2" concrete drill bit. House also has no cellar. And router is wallmount on top so cable started up. Shop owner even drove 20km to a warehouse to pick at least this cable for me as they had only 7,5m cables in store.
I will do it with a proper cable properly i just couldn't wait to test it...
Nerd living in Germany for many years with just 2,5Mbit upload, so maybe you can relate a bit.

lol I thought you were joking...but that is cutting a notch on the door and not running a cable through a door.

Come in the house yesterday at 5:30pm, no electricity. Wasn't restored until 2:30am!
Woke up at 9am to no power. Came back on around 12:30pm

I feel bad for complaining when folks are suffering with the hurricane down south. I was outside yesterday & it wasn't bad but i did do some driving around(mostly to cool off) & there was some debris on the roads in places. Must of had high winds in some spots.

F@#ing windows F$#@$#@ing updates. My work PC just got force rebooted. Pisses me off so much, freaking bullshit. No update is important enough to impact productivity. They always seem to time it with when I'm working too. I leave my PC on the whole time I'm off so they can reboot it all they want during that time, but nooooo they have to wait until I'm actually on shift. Pisses me off so much. I don't even know where the hell they're getting these updates from, Windows 7 is no longer supported.
