It's August and it's still too freaking hot out. We had a cool down when it first turned to August but it went right back into high 20's and 30+ humidex.

I keep on getting constant phone calls from germany.Nobody ever there. The area codes are german.Speak to me fraulein. Its obviously automated. Not sure why though.Could be coming from Bangladesh, fuck knows. It is starting to annoy me

Can't tell if I have a fever, because the ambient temperature is 32C (that's a heatwave for the UK...especially as it continues during the nights). I already have a dry cough due to a "pre-existing condition", so feeling like I'm burning up is a bit anxiety-inducing in the current situation.

The area code might be spoofed, no? In my experience they often are. Seems like a flaw in the design of phone systems that caller-ID-spoofing is even possible.

wife won't let me turn on ac cuz the kids are in the pool and will feel cold when they come in... 🙄
So I have to wait until they shower and dry their hair then I can turn it on... My office is the hottest room in the house (connected to garage) and I have to have the door closed to cut down noise.

I have an icepack on my head...

Just wait for her hot flashes. Mine has had the bedroom window open in the winter.

I see this stupid "hack your metabolism" ad often on YouTube.

Plz don't use the word "hack" unless you're talking about breaking into computer systems. Or I guess hacking shit with a machete or something.

Food hacks, metabolism hacks, life hacks, hair hacks, travel hacks... Fml

These 13 life hacks will blow you away, you won't believe number 14!

Then it's one of those stupid sites where each item is on one page and you have to click like 3 times just to make it go to next one, and so much Javascript to make even a Threadripper work hard.

Fun fact. The term "hacking" was originated as a term to describe a clever or unorthodox solution to a problem. Breaking into computer systems is "cracking", which is a subcategory of hacking.

I don't have to wear a tie for work for several months now and I think I forget how to to to knot quickly as I used to.

I don't remember the last time I wore a tie. Used to wear a shirt and tie at church then just gravitated towards wearing a polo, even in winter.

Thankfully my job hardly has any dress code so it's mostly just jeans and tshirt, or even shorts, in summer.
