Got into work today like 40 minutes late.

I hit my snooze this morning, like I always do, but with the damn Echo Show (2nd gen) you use a simple tap to snooze the alarm and a swipe (down I think) to clear it; well when you're just waking up and you reach over to just tap it, it's pretty dang easy to swipe a tiny amount and clear the alarm, and not realize it. Well, I did it and fell back asleep.

Haven't done that in a long time but it happens to me once in a great while. Poop. Thankfully my manager is awesome and he doesn't mind, just that I make up the bit of time at some point.

What I should do is use voice commands for this. I know "Alexa, cancel alarm" works but I don't remember if I've used "Alexa, snooze" to snooze it. I think that would work. If so that's a pretty fool proof method.

Well I got a second one because why not.

I really want to leave my job cause I'm just sick of the on-call garbage (that I see no end in sight despite higher ups saying it'll go away; we've already passed deadlines this summer they placed) and I don't enjoy the work I do (software dev). I'm kicking myself; I SHOULD'VE left after I completed my last project this past summer but of course I'm comfortable here and just didn't want to change. But now I'm assigned to this other important project with a deadline of the end of the year.

I hate to screw over my co-workers (we're already understaffed because the useless higher ups refuse to hire developers we've lost two years ago), who I really like, but man... I'm just not happy here. I'm really considering calling the recruiter who got me this job (I talked to him this past spring and said I'd maybe be receptive for a new position in the fall) tomorrow. Hmmm.

Got a new computer today so I've got two keyboards and two mice in front of me. <starts typing, nothing happens> Crap!

The mice are reversed from each other for a special touch.

First, I don't know why people buy those spyware devices. Second, if you are going to be that late, may as well WFH.
LOL. Sorry, I don't believe in the conspiracy that Amazon is listening to everything that goes on in my house.

Working from home sucks for me, it's so laggy (gotta remote into my desktop) it's annoying to do anything. So I only do it if absolutely necessary. If I would've slept in until 2 pm or something, then maybe I would've. Forty minutes late, not so much.

Wow, yeah that is really impressive. I usually have gotten around 3-4 weeks (I'm kinda lax about it, I don't mind some reduction in flavor), historically with the devices I've used.

I sent an email to Eleaf asking them about atomizer life so I'll see. There's no way in feces I'm using this device if atomizer life is a few days; that'd be expensive to keep running. Great. If so, another device to add to my junk drawer. :-/

Oh, what type of liquid did you use in the Vaporesso? Do you know the PG/VG mix for it? Just curious.
I've been vaping Mt. Baker juice for a couple of years. Almost always 50/50...and 24 mg nicotine.
I'm about a month into the new coil...still going strong. I REALLY like the Vaporesso GT mesh coils.

Yep, I usually use MBV juice too, and 50/50 as well as I've found high VG juice to taste burntish in multiple devices. I dunno how it's so popular with people; I guess I'm doing something wrong. Although my new Suorin Air "pod" device (I think that's what it's classified as) specifically specified at least 70% VG juice and I happened to have some, and it works great (not surprising, it called for it).

I ended up buying that Vaporesso Armour kit (w/ the Cascade tank) yesterday; took frickin forever to find it in-stock lol, and even then I had to settle for the red/blue one which I don't really care for the color. Oh well. Just replaced another atomizer in that Basal this morning; the previous one lasted two days. I got an email back from the company; all they said was "try a different juice" (I asked about atomizer life). LOL. We'll see, thankfully I bought a bunch of extra atomizers.

More of an annoyance, but I'd like some quiet today during lunch (you'd figure most people would go out). Why do co-workers feel the need to eat lunch with metal forks/dishes from home? All I hear is "tink tink tink TINK TINK tink tink TINK." Christ.

Today was a rare occasion where it didn't rain so I could have actually worked on my deck, but I had so much stuff that had to be done like laundry, running errands and other crap around the house that I spend all day on that instead of outside. I start work back tomorrow. I'll have a stretch of time off after these shifts though so hopefully the weather is good but probably not. It usually rains when I'm off.

Went to Target yesterday to get Halloween candy to hand out. I've started giving out full-size bars so I like to buy the 18ct. boxes of Mars and Hershey bars for ~$12 each. Well, they only had the 18ct. of Mars full-size bars, so today I have to go to Wal-Mart and hope they have the 18ct. of Hershey bars.

Ghetto! I'm giving out Toblerone bars this year. I also picked up some deluxe granola bars today as a backup in case I run out of candy. I got three 18packs of Toblerones, so that's 53 bars(not sure what happened to the other one), and I also have one full size Reeses bar I got free at wawa with a coupon.

maybe. I toured the Oakdale, Ca plant in the 90's. Looked legitimate enough. Not the highest quality chocolate, but chocolate, none the less.

My furnace seems to have developed this weird sound now. It's already quite the racket when it first starts but now there's a new sound that it does just after the blower goes to full speed. Troubleshooting this is proving hard, because when I'm standing in front of it I can't hear it. I can only hear it from upstairs. I think something somewhere is rattling and it's resonating in the ductwork.

So, not only did they move a couple of their manufacturing plants to Mexico, (thus the "Un-American" comment, but they're chocolate is no longer chocolate?

I haven't bought ANY Hershey's product since they moved much of their production to Mexico.
