Hmmm.. we might work on the same team :p

Fortunately I've been able to avoid these events so far. I like everyone, I just don't want to hang out with work people and talk about work after work for free.
Haha. :smilecat:

And it's not like my manager has just mentioned it once recently, he's been trying to do it for months, anytime the division head has been rumored to travel here he's proposed it. I feel kinda bad, like I should want to go, but damnit I'm an introvert and it just doesn't appeal to me. Plus I'm a non-drinker. And I wanna go and see if I can get the new Galaxy S10 after work. Now that's what I call important! lol

It's not like I totally hate interacting with people; my department played whirly ball recently and that was insanely fun.

Nearly brand new Samsung front-loader started squeaking loudly when spinning. Bought the set from Costco...so I called their concierge service...who put me in touch with Samsung...who says that there is no repair service in my area, so all they can do is exchange the washer...but they'll only pay for delivery, not the actual installation. The units are on pedestals...so that will have to be removed and reinstalled as well as leveled and hooked up....I can, of course, hire a private appliance installer to do it for me.

After more than an hour of back and forth between Costco Concierge and Samsung, the last Costco rep put me in touch with a Costco.com rep...who has an actual exchange with install set up...will take 2-3 weeks MINIMUM to get a new washer delivered to their delivery/installers...but at least it's in the process. (I hope)
I guess this is just part of the "benefits" of living in "the wilderness" on the Washington coast...
I don't own my own washer and dryer but after reading about the new technologies in washers and dryers and how it is so expensive to repair them, I would buy a speedqueen.

We keep getting teased with signs of spring only for it to go back to winter. I guess the good news is that some of the snow did melt, and I even managed to get my driveway right down to the concrete.

My boy cat's dying, and I don't know what to do about it. I don't trust the vet for good info, so I just watch him not eat. I suspect he has some kind of cancer, but the only way to know is xray, and I don't need to spend hundreds of $ for unactionable knowledge. I just keep hoping he turns around, but it isn't looking good :^(

:( If he doesn’t eat for more than a day or two he will likely go into liver failure and acute pancreatitis. It is a horrific way to die, basically auto-digestion with the digestive enzymes attacking the cat’s internal organs. If you don’t trust your current vet, at least take him to another.

Looking for hotels on google maps, the hotels lie and lie and lie about their rates. Tag says $74/night, reality = $127. Tag says $86/night, reality = $129. Then there is the no-cancel, non-refundable bs rates.

It's already gone beyond a day. I've been giving him a small blob of expired Enercal twice a day. Got home from work today, and it didn't look like he touched his food, so I tried force feeding him. Went better than expected, but it's tedious. Pry his mouth open, stick a piece of kibble in, and try to make sure it stays there. I think I got about 15 pieces in him. I guess that'll be my new strategy. I'll work on him again later.

He's really looking like shit. Nothing but a sack of bones, and his fur's all matted, especially around his mouth from Enercal mishaps. Every day I get home I expect to find him dead, but he's hanging in there so far. I'll still be surprised if he's alive on Monday. He's my second favorite cat, and he's kind of a pita, but I owe him for bringing me my favorite cat. He was the leader of the group, and he's the one that approached me. That got me and my partner at work two cats each. He tries to be charming, but ends up being irritating. His stunning good looks help make up for it though. I'll miss him for sure.

Might be time to put him down, sounds like he's suffering. :( Always a hard decision to make though.
It's crossed my mind. He's a miserable little kitty atm. Never sure how to approach it. I wish I could ask him. I keep hoping for the miracle turnaround, but that's likely to go as well as wishing Santa would stop at my house on Christmas. The reality is cats probably don't care, and keeping him going is selfish on my part. I'm kind of treating him the way I'd want myself treated. eg, Do what you can, but don't spend a lot of money, and when enough's enough, I want out. Is it enough yet? That's the million dollar question.

Running a VRBO, 2br/2ba. They list it at $72/night ave. It's $80/night, $72 for 7+ days, $48 for 30+ days. Then there's a 12% accommodations tax. Then there's $75 cleaning fee. Then there's the VRBO eff you insurance of $59 for one meeeelion dollars of coverage. So.....$125/night, 2 night minimum.

edit: and there's a refundable $500 damage deposit. If you don't take their insurance, it's $1500 up front.

Worse than loan sharks.

JESUS f my sides/back itch. It seems like it started happening maybe a couple months ago but dang is it annoying. It's underneath my arms on my ribs and goes around back to my spine. I thought maybe it was due to the skin (moisturizing) lotion I put on but I don't put the lotion on all of those exact areas (just a bit of them). I don't see any rash or anything like that, either.

God dang does it feel good to scratch the every living shit out of those spots though. I can't believe I haven't broke the skin itching cause I've done it so hard, lmao.

I'm pretty sure that is a negative but now I can't recall which brand I'm using. I didn't even think about the detergent and softener I use, duh. I will check when I get home and see what it is, though I don't necessarily use the same brand all the time (whatever's cheapest, usually).

I used to get Tide rash. All - Free Clear works for me.

I use Sun unscented. It's cheap at biglots, and seems to work as well as anything. Softeners are for women. They're just a frivolous use of chemicals.
