Does GABA help you? I'm always fighting anxiety and am looking for alternatives to traditional medicine which isn't helping.
It does a little, somehow, but ... exogenous GABA does not penetrate the blood–brain barrier; it is synthesized in the brain. It is synthesized from glutamate. GABA puts you to sleep, melatonin helps you stay asleep. Narcotics = GABA boosters; hypnotics = melatonin boosters. GABA makes you drowsy.

But it's not going to overcome any cortisol boosts making you more alert. Use phosphatidyl-serine for that, OR Siberian eleuthero for industrial strength calming effects. Taurine also has a GABA-like effect, binds with the some of the same receptors IIRC. I've also come to respect the power of glycine for quieting any burning nerves.

During the football game tonight the announcers audio cut out for a good 10 minutes and I had to rewind my DVR a few times to see who made the catch/stop.

I bought new Christmas lights a while back and they've been on the house, problem is the lengths are different so it ends up wrapping around the house and I can't plug the garlands directly into them. They also don't have the annoying 60hz flicker, which is nice, but downside is they also won't work on DC so for the garlands I need to plug the bridge rectifier box after and not before so that the rest of the lights don't flicker. So I finally got around to buying some extension cords so I can do that, only to find out that the plug end of these lights is not polarized and I can't plug anything else into it. So now this is turning into a whole electrical job just to get garlands to light up. I don't think I'll bother at this point. What I need to do is install outlets into the soffits then I can plug stuff directly.

Edit: I gave in, I wanted those lights lit. I ran 150 feet of extension cord all around the house from the main outlet instead, then stuck the bridge rectifier box in between. Lights are now lit and bright!

Had to layout anchor bolts on a bridge today. Took all day. I already had one abutment done, but still had to do the pier and the other abutment. Fourteen seats altogether; Per seat - two holes, centerline bearing and stringer marked, four cuts down the chamfer edges, and five grade shots. You work all day, and don't go anywhere. I also have leg cramps and sore wrists.

It's all better now. Sitting my the fire, cat in my lap, whisky, and just finished some shepherds pie. No more bullshit til Monday.

Time goes by faster than I can work.
That's the truth. I thought I'd have some fuck off time today, but I spent the whole time working. I figured I'd have an hour or two left at the end of the day, but no such luck.

At least it's gonna snow(hopefully). Not supposed to get much, but I can pretend we are. I like seeing stuff fall from the sky, and snow's relaxing to watch.

Neighbors are outside screaming. I guess someone slept with someone else and now a third person is going to post a bunch of pictures online. I need to find a sweet job in central Wyoming.

I bought a Pixel 2 XL unlocked phone 'for' Verizon but immediately stuck in my AT&T sim in there. All was good but it wouldn't update. So I had to stick in the Verizon Sim again to check for updates and it found it. Annoying, I had to swap sims for an update.

Tell them to keep that shit on Facebook, you don't need to hear it. :p

I've never seen or heard the dude before, so I'm assuming someone on my floor has wandered. Some folks are just in love with love, I guess. My next door neighbors are back at their nightly routine of slamming things every 15 seconds or so. I'm trying to figure out what they could be doing. It sounds like they're opening and closing their over door, but that doesn't make any sense. It's Friday night, so that means this will be happening until about 2am.

You make good money, right? Thought about buying a tiny house, and some land away from the natives? Live there til you're ready to get out of Dodge, trailer to your house to your Dodge, and ride off into the sunrise(You don't want to ride off into the sunset cause you'll be getting closer to Texas and California, and you don't want to make another location mistake :^P )

Haha so glad I don't live in an apartment. Though annoyances like that can happen even in a residential setting, like last year every day at around 5-6 I would hear a very loud and long car horn. It was like clock work. It would do it about 10 times over the course of an hour. It was more annoying than anything because it startled me every time.

My dream is a lake front cabin/cottage in the woods though. North facing so I can watch the northern lights while being in front of the wood stove.

Yeah, I do pretty well. The neighbors are annoying, but fortunately I can't hear them in my bedroom with the fans on, so I can just go in there. I've thought about buying an RV, but I think I'm going to stick it out until I get my degree and then go rent a house farther out. I live fairly close to school and I don't want to have a huge commute while I'm working on the degree.

I go back and forth about buying a house here. The good thing is that it would be fairly easy to sell once I want to leave - more and more stuff is moving to the area. I might be able to turn my neighbor annoyances into a discount on my rent next year.

I accidentally browsed this forum while not logged in, so I saw a bunch of posts from users on my ignore list.

Lol I've made that mistake before. I only have a couple people on my ignore but they show up once in a while. All they ever do is spew out personal attacks. Really wish that was against the rules here.

Went to a party last night. Ate tooo much. Heh, guess that beats drinking too much, right? Anyway, wife make pancakes/bacon/eggs this AM. Went to costos, skipped the grazing, skipped lunch. She going to get BBQ as I type. I'm still not hungry. I must need to have 8 or 10 beers so I get the munchies. Life is rough.

I had to cut a pair of 72" wire shelves down to 68". So I grabbed my hacksaw and got to work. Because the shelf was so flexible, flopping around, and because I couldn't really clamp down anything that big, it was a total pain in the ass.

So I'm about halfway done with the second shelf, when I look to my left and see my bolt cutters.

Snip, snip. God Bless America.

Made some cookies on the same seasoned baking sheet I used last time to roast hot peppers, so they are tainted and I'll have to eat them all myself.

I'm at my gaming computer, which is at the wall by the insane neighbors. They're having another get together, but they've been what sounds like vacuuming for about 10 minutes, yelling to talk at each other over the sound the entire time. I'm annoyed, but I'm much more genuinely curious about what the hell is going on over there. Why the slamming cabinets? Why the vacuum at 10pm? Why are you vacuuming when company is over?

I've been asked to contact a potential client whose last name is spelled such that the pronunciation appears to be doll baby. "Hello, may I speak to Ms Doll-baby" might not be the best way to start a professional relationship if the correct pronunciation turns out to be quite different. Guess I'll find out.

Went to Ace Hardware to get a new snow brush for my wife's car. They had only one in stock with no scraper, wtf?
