They fixed our water cooler today.

The office water cooler had been broken for a few weeks. I drink a lot of water at work usually. Our tap water is awful and makes me feel quite sick, like there's a stone in my stomach. Finally I find out they have no idea when it will be fixed and it will probably be a while. So I go to Canadian Tire yesterday and buy a water bottle with a brita filter in it. Does the job well. I can now drink tap water without getting the stone sick feeling. Happy.

I walk in this morning and first thing I hear is that our water cooler is fixed. So now I'm filtering filtered water.

There's a mouse in the storage room upstairs, had to listen to the thing squeal all night last night. May be stuck or getting it on... Every damn fall/winter.

I want stuff to read here, but the most active subforum is P&N. I'm not that much of a masochist. Where the hell's Mayne? He can pump out some volume. Quality's somewhat lacking, but it still beats P&N :^D

Bet Hillsdale didn't give out crayons, pizza or puppies. Might send my kid there.
The coddling of students at some schools is ridiculous. Higher education is best when you get exposed to new (uncensored)ideas. Your personal feelings should be irrelevant. If you don't like what you hear, find new friends, change classes, or just learn to ignore the bullshit.

Found out I have to work night shift on Christmas.

But it's good money, so I can't complain. Basically 2 stats. (Boxing Day counts as stat too). Being the lowest on the seniority ladder I've been lucky that it took this long in first place. The one who was below me quit so now I'm right at the bottom.

It also works out better that I work nights and not days, since at least I can still go to the supper with family. Our Christmases tend to be fairly quiet anyway. I find the time leading up to it is actually more exciting than the day itself. Nice to see all the decorations and stuff everywhere.

So many offers and discounts and specials on my numerous credit cards, I am at a loss of which to use. Too much choice = overwhelming.

Canadians do Christmas?

And learn how to defend what you think is right. Opinions are unflushed turds if you can't clean the drain.

Wow, I might need to quote that one...😀

No longer. Not wanting to force immigrant religious minority losers to adapt to Canada, we now have Xmas and Happy Holidays. If you still got Christmas, hang on as long as you can. Its time is uncertain.
There's a Canadian front in the War on Christmas? How cool is that!

Been seeing car ones mostly. Crazy that it's getting close. Need to buy some replacement bulbs and replace all the burnt ones on the house, then start turning them on. Probably wait a week or so for that.

It's the Santa Claus parade tonight, which runs right where I work, might be hard to get back home. Had I planned better I would have dressed for it and just stayed to watch it.

Funny though, I remember as a kid we'd have lot of snow by the time the parade came, most kids would just sit in the snow banks with adults standing behind.

I got a notification that my old Yahoo account was probably compromised from the 2014 attack. Sure enough, everyone on my old contact list got spam with my name on it (from a spoof mail account) today. Awesomesauce.

Oh wow Yahoo lol. I wonder if I still have any accounts under my name there.

Actually it's funny I used to use this provider called GMX, and I eventually abandoned that email for my own server. One time I was trying to access a service that I had not used in a while, I can't remember what, but it was still registered as that old email which was no longer valid. I went to the GMX site and re-registered my old email and was able to get it that way. Was kinda a fluke that it worked really. Had the email still existed I probably would have never been able to actually get into it. I'm not even sure if it's still the same company, as it's german, and when I had registered it, I believe it was one of those free providers where you just pick out of a list of domains and I had picked that one as it was short and easy to remember.
