I have a house full of food but nothing sweet, and I feel like something sweet, but don't feel like going out to get it. Maybe I'll make cinnamon toast :^/

Get some dessert pizza delivered.

Had cinnamon toast. Pete's enthusiasm for the idea pushed me over the line. It was really good. I haven't made it in years. I used some kind of seed loaded bread that tasted especially good toasted.

I have a $25 off $200 coupon code for Newegg and the video card I want costs exactly $200 but it and all its other variants have been OOS since launch. Still gaming on a 7770.

I bought two bottles of wine along with other booze when I went camping. I ended up deciding to just keep one bottle of wine here (I already had two in the fridge that I never touched) and take one with me. So 3 in the fridge and 1 in the cooler. At least, that's how it SHOULD have ended up.

I never ended up even touching the wine while camping, but somehow, I still only have 3 bottles in the fridge. There is one that somehow went missing in this whole process, and I have no idea how, and it's bugging me. It's only like $7 wine so nothing to freak out about financially, but I still feel bad for basically wasting it, because I have no idea where it ended up. I must have had a brain fart and did something stupid like put it in the recycling with some empty bottles or something. That's the only thing I can think of.

^You have to send your wine away... to me. It's criminal that you have wine sitting around that long. I'd have finished a bottle in two nights -- gotta give my liver a break.

Got woken up by an industrial vacuum truck/excavator doing god knows what in my neighbor's basement.

The worst thing was that the vacuum was making the entire house resonate. I had to get up to close a window firmly because the glass was vibrating. And it sounded like the sound was coming from the walls -- okay, I checked, my SPL meter got higher the closer I got to the walls, and the dB level was higher further away from the truck but closer to a wall. Fuck, the SPL was hitting 70 dB at my pillow and 80 dB near a wall.

I'd give you some if I could. I have a bunch I bought for guests but it hasn't been touched.

I still can't find that wine bottle, I think I have to consider it a loss. The only thing I can think of is that maybe I DID bring it, and I took it out of the cooler to make room for more ice and probably forgot it out, and somebody must have passed by the campground and took it. Though I don't imagine theft is that common at that place, I had solar panels out and everything, those are worth way more than a bottle of wine.

Either way, I have 3 bottles in the fridge, and a bunch of coolers, so plenty of alcohol for a while. I don't drink regularly but like to pop open a bottle of wine as a treat once and a while.

Man I can't believe it, I went outside and there aren't any new mole tunnels through the yard and no visible activity along the curb on any of the houses around mine.

Holy fuck. I just found out I can expand the description typing box when editing my YouTube videos -- editing, not viewing. I've been bitching about it being too small with just 3 lines of visible text for years.

Huh? Just got an email from Amazon about my shipment that was damaged in transit -- Amazon was notified by the shipper?

Did a truck overturn somewhere?

Just snagged a super cheap fare to Vienna late Dec through New Years day but we were going to go to Vienna as part of our Germany trip in April. Now I have to find somewhere else to go in April

I'd give you some if I could. I have a bunch I bought for guests but it hasn't been touched.

:hmm: You're not that far from me...

It does happen. Seen entire trailers full of goods stolen before too. They take it to some parking lot and offload it to another vehicle then ditch it in case it's being tracked. I bet some even have their secondary vehicle set up with a faraday cage inside to avoid tracking.

I finally got authorization from the VA to access the veterans choice program so I can see an orthopedic surgeon about my knees. I have to wait over 3 months to get into the local clinic to see a VA doctor. All this junk to get some cortisone injected behind my kneecaps is just too much and is why the VA needs to be revamped to allow us disabled vets to access any health care provider in our area at any time we need care.

Tried to buy a 1060 off newegg but it kept removing itself from cart as I tried desperately to get it to go through for half an hour. Just went to auto notify. Screwed yet again.

That's a first for me. Even funnier is that the shipment was just a 6' cable. You really have to try hard to break that.

It had to go through customs though. Maybe it got seized with an adjacent shipment of heroin.

I've sent out fully-loaded trucks that came right back to me with all of the product ruined in ways where even your cable would be considered damaged.

One flipped over and caught on fire. Another ended up in a lake. Another was soaked with some oily chemical that I think was a flame retardant. They'd get towed back and we get tasked with auditing it and cataloging the damage for insurance or replacement or whatever.
