I have shit to do but have no energy and my brain feels numb so can't.
It's better than having a headache. Had most of a bottle of Chimay Belgian ale and went out for a while. Came back with a blinding headache. How do you get hung over from less than 750ml of beer? I've become such a light weight.

Did two seconds of research and found out that silencers reduce noise from something like 160 dB to 130 dB on a good day. So, you go deaf after a couple seconds instead of less than one without hearing protection. That's not what TV/movies said...

Dammit. This "Kenny" guy owes me $50 for a phone screen I fixed back in 2012. I never met or saw him but his wife was my coworker and they supposedly split up the very next day after I fixed the phone and gave it to her. She acted like she hated his guts for whatever he did and there was no way she was going to pay his bills (the $50 he owes me). I changed locations with the company a short time later.

I don't care that he's dead (I never knew him): Screw both of them. The FWP here is that I can't complain on Facebook without setting off a sh!tstorm with a bunch of people I don't care to argue with. They are both deadbeats, and her sister too.

Her sister keeps contacting me for computer help and other BS and started claiming that I never returned a PSP to her last year when I drove way out of my way to return years ago and she didn't even have the decency to answer to be home when I got there at the scheduled time (I had to give it to her kid). I've helped both of them so many times, wasted days and days of my life, spent/lost money on them, and never gotten anything but accusations and more requests for costly, time-consuming, help.

Looking up what kinds of businesses require licenses in my city... Turns out I need a license for "Construction of Radiation Fall-Out Shelters."

God damn it. And I'm going to get flagged by the FBI with all the keywords on this page alone, and the questions I had about gold a few months back.

My Spanish is terrible and Netflix screwed up on an episode of Prison Break season 2 episode 15 that is supposed to have hard English subtitles. The captioning only says "(Speaking Spanish)."

My work computer is being upgraded this week (this is good as the f'in card read on my current machine has never worked properly; one would think that after more than a decade of HP building garbage computers that IT would stop buying them, but alas). The new IT guy has great difficulty with human interactions combined with a slavish devotion to the standard corporate image. I'm a special flower with specialized software so I will spend the week coaxing the IT guy into correctly installing the software and making sure it runs correctly. Every digression from the standard image makes him try to hide under his desk. This will be fun.

The image IT loaded on the new machines has IE9 on it. o_O Our web based apps require IE11. :(

IT is now going back and installing IE11 manually on a "user bitching about it" basis. o_O o_O

They bought more HP garbage. :'(

Network between the cubicles and the dev lab went down, but we can get external internet.

Now that nobody can work, the cubicle farm got a lot louder.

I did. I haven't talked to her since 2012 and haven't talked to her sister in two years (she still keeps trying to reach me).

I'm just angry to find out that she faked their split so that neither of them had to pay me. She literally faked a whole divorce. Are they faking his death too?!

Yes: being unable to confront the woman publicly on Facebook because someone died and absolutely no one would think it's appropriate is a first world problem. In the 3rd world I never even would have known.

Went to the Asian Supermarket in Dallas and purchased a few of them Asian candies (with bright multiple colors on the bags) and the ones made in Japan (Kasugai) were not very good. The ones made in Taiwan (Imei) and Thailand (Mitmai) were decent.

Never. Help. Anyone*. With. Computers. For. Free.

*Who isn't sleeping with you.
And even then, it might be best to feign ignorance and then run away.* Once you touch it, any problems it ever has will be yours to fix. Even if they buy a new computer, anything that resides in that same location will still carry your cursed touch.

*Also consider turning the gas on and lighting a candle on your way out.

I am working on an EMI /EMC problem. I have to do a lot of reading to try to solve the issue with as little pain as possible.

It sure is interesting, E fields and H fields.
