I have to research how to reset and wipe my Kindle because I'm tired of the thing and getting rid of it -- I don't like using tablets/readers/anything but my PC.
If you have any trouble, Ichinisan reset one recently.

Does breaking a root off of a tooth (under a crown and below the gum line) and having to have emergency oral surgery to extract it all count? 🙁
Were you covered by insurance or allowed to pay for it using a relatively small portion of your annual salary?
Just like that. "We'll need $3K for the kid's braces." "We'll need $1400 for the corp/personal tax prep." "We'll need $7K (I hope) for your shitty insurance." "We'll need another $7K for the kid's college fund." "We'll need $6300 for your HSA because your insurance sucks." "We'll need $1100 for that crown." "We'll need...... etc....My insurance allowed me to spend a relatively small portion of my annual salary in the form of a co-payment.
/first world found....
At least, sprained like hell. If so, get the boot. Wear it religiously for 2+ weeks. Still 2 months out, you'll feel it in the AM.
One of the twins just went through this....they may chime in.

Yeah. My insurance said they would only cover it if I got care within 48 hours and, of course, no doctors in network had an opening that soon. I wasn't going to the emergency room two days later because that would cost much more. I just hobbled around on their-store crutches and did everything I could not to move it until the tendons set, then I did range exercises. My ankle was pretty unstable for the last 14 years due to a sprain that never healed correctly but things feel much better this time despite not getting the boot (I tried!).

Son of a bitch. Broken? Sprained? Calling for xrays tomorrow. I'll be the next one to bitch about insurance here.
no urgent care center around you?
Next time, I'll send you one.Yeah. My insurance said they would only cover it if I got care within 48 hours and, of course, no doctors in network had an opening that soon. I also have high arches, and have gone through the podiatrist route many times for plantar fasciitis.. even to the extent of custom orthotics. My right ankle was in perfect shape compared to the left........... until now. Now my partially busted left ankle feels a hell of a lot better than my right one. I'm definitely older and wiser this time around... so I'm going to try to take care of it. In the meantime, I need a wheelchair and a beer.
What is this boot you're talking of? I'm assuming you can buy one on Amazon... but a quick search yields 100000 results.
A foot/ankle specialist diagnosed me with high arches over 20 years ago after I started having debilitating cramps in my arches that would send me to the ground in pain (often when walking along slanted surfaces). These days I get debilitating cramps that paralyze my big toe and run through my arches but it usually happens in bed (like a charlie horse). I'm treading a dangerous line here because my foot muscles often seem to tighten and cramp just from thinking about it.
Interesting. I've had the big toe tendon spasm for the last few years, just like a charlie horse and only in bed.A foot/ankle specialist diagnosed me with high arches over 20 years ago after I started having debilitating cramps in my arches that would send me to the ground in pain (often when walking along slanted surfaces).
