My new kettle was delivered this morning... I heard the knock on the door but didn't want to get up yet and knew the pick-up location was a 15 minute walk away, so I let the guy go. Then the notice form said it wasn't available for pick-up until tomorrow -- computer tracking of package said it was ready by 4pm today🙁.

I was dragged out of my warm bed at 9 to go to work for a job at 11:45 to find out when I got there that they had cancelled - only to have to drive home again.

But I was quite happy that gas prices went down 3 cents this morning...

Gas prices - the only thing this year that has made me feel the joyous spirit of Christmas - that giddy happy feeling of children.

Another one: I waited a minute to cross a traffic light as a pedestrian earlier today. Despite pushing the pedestrian signal button to cross, the POS traffic light turned green while the pedestrian signal remained red. I double checked I hit the pedestrian signal button, yep, still lit when traffic signal turned green, decided to cross anyway after checking traffic... barely half-way across, the POS turns orange. Hauled ass, think I just cleared the light during the all-red. Something was either busted or some fu*k-wit designed it that way.

Trying to change a flight I booked using Kayak which linked me to Airfare.com. If I had booked the flight through the actual airline the change fee would be $75 + $12 difference in fares = $87. Instead Airfare.com has a MINIMUM $200 change fee (domestic flights) and $350 MINIMUM change fee (international flights). What the fuck is that? For some reason I think I just learned the hard way. I will forever be booking directly through the airlines website. Oh, and fuck Airfare.com. Happy NYE.

My tablet comes with a free T-Mobile data plan. I gets no signal here so I can't set it up. I have wifi so I can use the tablet but I wanted to get the cell set up as well. I'll have to wait for our next trip into town to finish setting it up.

So after using Win 8.1 for a good solid six hours I just realized something. In Win 8, Microsoft released a brand new user interface without bothering to write a manual for it and then got butthurt because users failed to recognize the genius of it all. It's not a bad interface but the lack of manual is sloppy and lazy.

By way of comparison, Doom II had a 20-30 page manual to tell the user how to run, kill, and steal.

I can't decide whether to buy just the HFR 3D ticket or the HFR 3D & D-Box ticket for The Hobbit. :\

KT

The one time I did do the D-Box with the 3D I really wasn't impressed myself. The 3D was pretty nice.

But that was Godzilla, it did tend to wake me up when something rarely was worth watching in the movie, had been a long work week and I think I slept through half of that one.

We still have a free movie set of tickets around here might have to see that or Interstellar this weekend.

Souffle didnt set up right today GDI

"The milk and the eggs for the soufflé. Where—where—did it all come from?"

"Eggs... ter... min... ate."

You're a Dalek! 😱

My FWP is that Star Trek Online servers are offline along with the holodeck safeties, so I can't play with my new Breen carrier ship. No fighter wing launches for me 🙁

Those were the days... I learned so much about World War II weaponry all because of the humungulous manual that came with Close Combat. Probably reread a bunch of parts when I got bored.

I'm just glad the DVD case days are over. That was the worst. Giant plastic package the size of a VHS tape.

I just washed and peeled a whole bunch of lemons to make limoncello, but it won't be ready for drinking for another 3 months. I also juiced the lemons (cause why waste 'em), but juicing a lemon that's been peeled turns out to be a very messy process. Now my kitchen smells like fresh citrus, which is admittedly better than it smelled before I started messing around with lemons.

Darn Gift Card PIN is not working (for now), the last one. All of the other cards did work.
