Businesses that sell stuff they don't actually have are pissing me off. Three times in the last two months I've ordered stuff from companies that list the item as "in stock" only to get a week or two of no communication after placing the order followed by "we're back ordered on that". No, no you aren't. The item is out of production and you know it and I know it. You simply sold something you didn't have. Pisses me off. One guy finally sent an email asking me to give the company a call to discuss the order. The order was for one light bulb. I don't want a relationship with you, I want you to ship a freaking light bulb. If I wanted the personal touch I wouldn't have used your online ordering system where you said the bulb was in stock. Did I mention this pisses me off?

Yeah, a lot of places are now just middleman who have stuff drop-shipped to you. That's partly why I've been switching most of my ordering over to Amazon (despite the increase in third-party sellers). Central place to order from, good shipping deals, mostly competitive pricing, easy returns, etc.

My clothes pole thing blew down. One of these things:

I'm just about ready to start looking for a job abroad but am concerned about health insurance (i.e. don't want to go bankrupt if I get fuxxored). Spoiled by guberment health insurance, don't know where to start looking for stuff like this.

You're not in Canada anymore? Where is abroad?

Still here... but I want to get into teaching. No way I can get a job in Canada with the effed up job market for teachers, don't want to commit to a 2 year teaching school yet, so I may as well try teaching English abroad to test the waters.

Looking at Japan or Korea, maybe Spain -- I know a bit of Spanish and French. Thinking of ultimately ending up in Hong Kong but they seem to have standards like a teaching degree + experience required? Their pay is first-world though. Guberment elementary schools pay USD $3k to $6k (-ish?) per month.

Ah, cool. Good luck with it. A family friend moved to Japan to teach about ten years ago and I don't think she is ever coming back.

Hate going to strip clubs in America. In Thailand when you go to a strip club you can actually take the girl for a short time for $70 USD. In America, you go home with blue balls.
