I have one of those toilet seats that's supposed to close slowly so it doesn't slam. Well, it seems to be losing its tension and starting to slam. Bummer.

Put some oil in a pan on the stove and turned it on high to make fries. Forgot about it and started smoking. Pulled the pan, turned off the stove and sat the pan on the counter (like a dumbass). Burned a brown ring into my counter top.

F#ck!!!

Do it a bunch more times, and you'll have a pattern. It'll look like it belongs ;^)

When I was a kid my mom got me to watch some boiling potatoes on the stove top and she left the house. She just told me to watch it, did not tell me that it had to be stopped after some time or what.

While I'm going back and forth my dad gets home, and he gets kind of in the way in the kitchen and I feel like I'm in the way so I just stopped going to check assuming he was checking it while he was doing his thing. (it's always a huge production). Well the water evaporated away and they started to burn up. My mom gets home around the same time and starts yelling at me and calling me names and takes the pot out of panic and puts it right on the counter!

Now there is a reminder of my stupid mistake there.

When I was skydiving I threw out my pilot chute and ended with some twists in my lines. That's pretty first world and also a problem.

AmazonFresh is out of cheap pumpkin pies ($24 for a fancy pie? I THINK NOT!) so I too will have to go to a real grocery store tomorrow.

Bought way too much food for Thanksgiving.

It's only like 8 people and bought 200 dollars worth of food, including 60 bucks worth of booze.

Did not expect to spend this much.

Was using a 15" rMBP all weekend, and now my tiny, awful work laptop feels inadequate. I think it knows how I feel about it and is having performance anxiety as well!

Silent alarm malfunctoned at work this morning. I was only one working. I didn't notice until cops arrived to clear building. Employee IDs can be handy.

When I left my house this morning, it as 51 degrees and rainy so I didn't wear a coat. Now, it is 32 and snowing like crazy... I will have to be a bit cold on my 50ft walk to my car after work. =(

Whew, pie back in stock, AmazonFresh saves me from my #firstworldproblems !

Today's:

I need to start a thread and get the mods to sticky it so we can begin this year's Child's Play donation drive. Typing, posting, more typing. The pain!

Just learned about something called AmazonFresh and it involves the delivery of food. "AmazonFresh is currently not available in your area." ... immense sadness
