Mildly disagreed with a leftist on gun control and was branded a racist.

Mildly disagreed with a right-wingnut on gun control and was branded a “fa&&ot - which to be clear has nothing to do with sexual orientation, it has to do with you being a pussy”

AC seems to be broken, so I'll either need to be home all weekend or keep the cat locked up indefinitely for when the repair crew comes out.

My scroll wheel wasn't working on my mouse. I just spent the last 15 minutes pulling a whole cat's worth of fur from the inside of my mouse. She's lucky she's cute...

I get my long haired cat a lion cut every year. Totally worth it... cuts down on the amount of cat fur and hairballs I need to clean up over the next few months.

I decided to finally keep working on a project I've been neglecting only to find out that my database server on my dev server seems to have self KOed itself. The entire database server seems corrupted and won't stop or start. A reboot didn't fix it. Looks like I'm going to be spending time rebuilding that whole server instead of working on the project. I hate NFS and had nothing but issues with it so I blame it. My first step is to move the mysql data files off NFS to see if that magically fixes the issue. Just need to make the VMDK bigger then figure out how to extend the file system. It's LVM and I never played with that manually before. It's the initial install that generated it.

So long story short looks like I'm not working on that project today. :p

Went to Costco with the intentions of stopping at the food court on the way out. It was slammed. The line was backed up with 25-30 people and the tables were already full. About 1/3 of the patrons were old people (SS check day) and 2/3 were soccer moms (who refuse to cook for their kids). I left without buying.

The old hospital (where I was born) is about 1k feet from my house, as the crow flies. After being a hospital, it was used by the county for offices but has been empty for several years. Since it's "historic", an act of congress couldn't get it torn down. A contractor agreed to pay $650k, keep the historic value and put condos in it. At the last minute, an out of state buyer offered $1.1m with the same historic contingent. "Sold," the county says. The out of state buyer's m.o. is section 8 housing. I consider my dead neighbors a plus. This, not so much. Woot for property values....:(

I try to do more with spice only to find out that there are many versions and many electronic component models that are not compatible with each other.
Now i have to learn how the spice language works and solve the differences between for example LTspice and Pspice.
And sometimes the models are encrypted and thus impossible to use with different spice simulators.
Luckily, i have now enough information to understand the differences between the different spice languages somewhat.
So much work. :(

My fwp is my phone case+glass protector came way sooner than stated. Case seems nice, but I got some stuff under the glass when I applied it. Crap that fell off a bandaid. The spots aren't terrible, but my eyes hit them with laser focus :^/

Mom and Fathead didn't show up for breakfast this morning. Mini Me's been by, but she's my least favorite cat. I hope the other two + kittens are ok. Oh, and I haven't gotten any hummingbirds yet. They should have been here by now. I wonder if something happened to them :^/
