my 5yr cd @ 2.4% interest matures this year.
current cd rates suck.
guess i'll pay down my mortgage w/this $ since I no longer need it for my emergency fund.
I'm too flush w/cash.

and holy.. I have a 10yr cd @ 3.5% interest?!
didn't remember this till my smartphone calendar reminded me that my 5yr cd matures soon.

remembering 5 figures I didn't know I had = winning

I had a bunch of 4.0% deposits that matured last year. Accidentally set one two to roll over and they locked in at 2.35% for 5 more years... FML.

P.S. Boo ya, managed to find a buyer for my camera for like 25% of what I paid for it a bit over 2 years ago. It's under $175 so I hope I don't get murdered or diddled.

On the other hand, I've sold a bunch of stuff for around that price over the past year.

came to work an hour early because someone rescheduled a 9 am meeting for 8 am... the guy who rescheduled it never showed up (though the rest of us on the invite list did)

then stayed late because someone scheduled a meeting 30 minutes after my shift ended (but my coworker is out sick today), only to have that meeting organizer never show up

I think if I ever decide to take up hacking, I would make life a living hell for corporate types, scheduling random meetings for random employees.

Then they schedule a daily meeting to figure out what to do about the random meetings.

...which you then occasionally cancel 10 minutes before they're supposed to start.

"Wow, your main competitor suddenly folded in under 6 months. What happened?"
- "....Oh, probably internal logistical problems."

A mourning dove has moved in near me. If you're not familiar, here's what they sound like.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oNljd7R1f8

The problem is that because of the low frequency of their calls, it comes right through the closed windows. The other birds I never hear. And this particular bird inserts a really long delay between calls. So instead of being more or less continuous, it will be quiet for maybe 10 seconds, just long enough to think that maybe it's stopped, and then it starts again.

I think I'll eventually be able to screen it out but right now it is really, really annoying.

A Graniteville woman was arrested on Wednesday after she allegedly left her three young children locked inside her vehicle for an extended period of time while she was inside an Aiken medical facility.

Zadonnyae Ashionna Dixon, 22, faces three counts of cruelty to children, according to arrest records.

I'm kind of regretting my decision to buy a bottle of rosé instead of red wine. I'm in the mood for some harder shit tonight...

To clarify, the first sound is not the characteristic mourning dove sound. It's the one that starts at 15s.

You know, I noticed that but I figured that I just couldn't hear the first part. But now that I think about it, there was also a mourning dove near one of my old apartments (which for the longest time I thought was an owl - d'oh) and I don't think it had that first part either. It was just whoo . . . . . . . whoo . . whoo.

Total brainfart. Blew like $9 to get wasted and I forgot that rosé wines usually have a lower alcohol content. Fuq this 8.5% shit, I want my 12%. Man does it taste good though...

Don't worry we decided against the steak. Getting Texas style bbq instead - he's gonna get brisket with a side of yams.

BBQ wasn't enough for 3 of us so had to buy the steak.
