Primary click wore-out on my Logitech MX Revolution mouse I use at work. I bought the successor: Performance Mouse MX.
Unlike the MX Revolution, the Performance Mouse MX can't automatically switch from click-to-click (detents) scrolling to free-spinning by flicking the wheel. I have to manually toggle an awkward mechanical switch on the mouse. With the MX Revolution, I used the free-spin momentum frequently to keep my web browser at the bottom of a tall page so I could read the last post while everything above it was still loading.
Unlike the MX Revolution, the Performance Mouse MX doesn't have a charge cradle. It has to charge through a detachable microUSB cable. I let it charge overnight at home before I brought it to work. Each time I left for lunch, I switched it off. At the end of each day, I switched it off. The battery didn't last 1 month.
Now I'm charging it with a $0.10 microUSB cable that makes my tidy desk look cluttered...wishing I bought an MX Master instead. Apparently, the MX Master brings back automatic switching for the scroll wheel.
