Adblock, All-in-One Gestures (Mouse Gestures), Download Statusbar (much better than default download box), Tab Mix Plus (comprehesive tab extension)

But guess how much I paid for Firefox?

That is, without being 1337 and cracking it 😛

Plus, I could add dozens of new features if I were so inclined.

That said then, I do use Opera as well, the only feature I prefer in Firefox is the way the Find feature works. It searches text as you type, without having to press enter to find the string. May seem small, but it's tough to go back once you get used to it.

Oh, and the image zooming feature. I don't like how Opera won't resize large images. . . as well as the ability to open multiple windows rather than have one Opera window with lots of tabs. It makes it nice at work when I have my work related sites and non-work related sites in different windows.

Just hit the / key. Works the same way.

Automatic image resizing like in IE? Could just zoom out I guess. It zoom both text and images.

Just open the pages in a different window. Not difficult. Pic

Alternately, File --> New Window (ctrl+alt+N) Pic

I paid $24 for Opera, good through all versions of Opera 8. I don't mind paying for good software (and yes, I have given back for Linux as well).

Add more features to FF to make it just like Opera. I see...

I have the "find in page" box on my toolbar, which does just that. 😕

Opera has no problem zooming small or large images... 😕

EDIT >> Zooming in or out, that is. Press "Numpad +" to zoom in, "Numpad -" to zoom out. "Numpad *" to reset.

Opera has no problem with that either, though it may require a little extra work up front. (I don't do it, but I know it can be done) You may want to try the "detach" function.
