What files do I need to make a bootable BIOS flash disk (go ahead, laugh at me...)

I have never flashed a bios with a self-made disk before...I did it w/my old Dell a few times, but that was w/a floppy DL"d from their site...self contained and all that.

I'm going to flash the bios on my GF's Abit KT7R. AFAIK, I need a floppy containing.

1. AwardFlash utility
2. The BIOS itself

Is there anything else I need? This will be for a W2K-based system, if that matters.

*stop laughing now and help me!* ;)

all you need is to format the floppy with a win9x PC

type the command format a: /s and it puts the command.com file on the disk which allows you to boot to dos prompt

you can then run your BIOS flash program, make sure you have the BIOS file on the disk too.. lol

make note of the exact BIOS file name before you go into the program, makes it a bit easier.

Thanks, Yield.

I don't have a Win9x machine running, but I DO have a Win98SE bootdisk. I could copy the floppy to a temp file on my PC, then copy files off that temp file to another floppy...or is there an easier way? My box at home is running W2K. Thanks!
