what file system to i need to format my portable hdd on to make it work between pc - mac

using it for school... need to go from my pc to the schools mac's and back to my pc.

ntfs didn't seem to work, but it might of been something with the schools macs?

You actually tried NTFS? Are you new at computers? :D

Use FAT32, should be pretty seamless.

Ah. See, you have to realize that a Mac isn't a computer, it's a Lifestyle Accessory. The fact that you can occasionally have it do useful stuff is merely a coincidence, so you'll have to try to work with it like you'd explain the concepts of quantum physics to a slightly smarter-than-average ape.
