What File Sharing are you using other than the popular ones?

What other than Morpheus and programs like that are you using to get files off the net? Where are you finding FTP servers and such. My school has blocked all the ports so I can't use those file sharing programs. Hotline works for me but I have trouble finding servers. We should put together an ATOT Hotline server.

I've used hotline before but I didn't like all the procedures that servers put you through just for access.

but the benefits are that you use a dedicated server (usually), rather than get the file from somebody's PC that could go offline anytime.

plus, it's 1337!!

direct connect is what i use. im not sure if you consider that popular or not. im not sure what port it works over, but if you are not firewalled you can select which one to use.

That's why I'd think if we could put together an ATOT server then we'd know that the ppl were reliable.

There are no other programs worthwhile to use other than Morpheus, at least for me (this may not be the case for you)

i've thrown this idea around alot but nobody else has backed me up

I use Direct Connect. Its pretty good and you can change the port it runs on (I think...).

I think it would really work. The only problem would be we would need to get someone to host it. Should we start up a new thread that says ATOT Hotline server? and see how many ppl we get to respond?

Just today, I downloaded AudioGalaxy (Haven't used that in a while) and was QUITE Impressed. Got Two full Cd's from a favorite DJ of mine, and I'm WAY pumped. Brand New!! (And in response to my question I posted in the earlier mp3 vs. warez thread) I am gonna buy these two cd's. Gotta support PVD.
