I DON'T hire so many MCSE because they don't know what they claim too, and so many canidates have those certs thay really aren't worth much anymore.

SAN, Cisco, and yes security are very hot right now.

Or go back to school for your MBA. By doing MIS that is one of the purposes of the MIS degree, to bring in managers that are tech savvy.

Too bad the the better MBA programs require around two years industry experience 🙁

Nothing wrong with that imo. You want people with EXPERIENCE not just people who have learnt through lectures and text books.
