There is an article on huffpost that includes a picture gallery of men and women holding up signs saying stuff like "This is what feminists look like", or "I am a feminist."

huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/28/we-are-what-feminists-look-like_n_3828831.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular

Something I noticed about the majority of the pictures, they never show people working.

Where are the people holding signs up saying "this is what feminists look like" while digging a ditch?

Where are the people holding signs up saying "this is what feminists look like" while driving a bulldozer?

Where are the people holding signs up saying "this is what feminists look like" while running a forklift?

Where are the people holding signs up saying "this is what feminists look like" while changing the oil in an 18 wheeler truck?

So to you, working = physical labor?

What about feminists who are splitting an atom?
What about feminists who are performing surgery?
What about feminists who are shredding a solo on guitar on stage in front of thousands?
What about feminists who are quietly comforting returning soldiers who are suffering from PTSD?

et cetera, ad infinitum

This is what idiots look like when posting on P&N.

That shit gets you fired, moron.

Last weekend my brother, my dad, my son and I worked for about 10 hours putting in a full septic system in a single day. It was a 1,000 gallon septic tank and a 100 feet of field line.

The next day we used an excavator to dig up an old sewage line at a hunting camp, then replaced it with graveless pipe.

Who says you have to be on the job to work?

How much of that work were you doing while holding a sign? How much work have you done in your entire life while holding a sign advocating anything? That's not a normal thing to do while working, and in most of your examples, is legitimately dangerous as it takes away the use of at least one hand, or makes the work impossible. Tell you what, why don't you post a video of yourself digging a ditch while holding a sign advocating your views on the feminist movement so we can have an accurate debate as to the validity of your claim.

Don't be silly OP, when women say "WE DEMAND EQUAL PAY FOR EQUAL WORK" they mean "pay me a lot of money for sitting in an air conditioned building doing busywork". They don't actually want to do hard labor. There's a reason that women didn't appear in the workforce until recently, and it has nothing to do with the feminist or progressive movement. The sole reason is that enough labor had transitioned from doing backbreaking labor in the fields to working in an office building.

Also, everyone in those pictures either is an ugly and/or obese female, or a "man" that has a little too much estrogen in his bloodstream.

I am wiring in a water pump this weekend. During which I will take a picture just for you.

Or should I take a picture while working on the shed?

Don't forget the one year of maternity leave at full pay. And which should count as having actually worked for promotion and raise purposes.

You should go out there where these people with signs are, and do that work there, while holding up a sign about something relevant.

Why is it surprising that none of them are doing work? Most people taking time to post pictures of themselves on the internet aren't (unless you count carefully watching cute animals as work).

Hmmm, I just noticed a "Sheik Yerbouti" posting in a thread down-talking feminists. Anybody here named Robert Brown, by any chance? :)

Every construction site around here has dozen's of women doing everything.
The oil fields are full of them
I'd swear 3/4 of my city workers are women

edit-
heh
Went to the city web site to see if I could find some worker pics.
From the looks of that site, we are lacking tech *people*

Probably for the same reason you will never see any leftists taking this image

us-cemetery-normandy.jpg

And captioning it with: "This is what male privilege looks like".

I sure could use some feminist help digging a trench for a water line going to my house.

Its only about 100 - 104 in direct sunlight and 94 in the shade.

I will even supply the shovel.

LOL@what "no hope" wrote.

Freaking true no matter how people deny. I'm all for equal rights, but they better be equal not more of.

Hell I'd laugh my ass off if somebody made a meme out of me. But maybe that's cause I can take a joke.

Visited a mancamp lately? They are called mancamps for a reason. There are plenty of women working in the oil industry, however very few are actually roughnecks in the oil field.

OP... you're problem is that there weren't more pictures?

Weird reason to start a thread.
