What features are tied to IE8 in windows 7 ?

I had to remove Media Center from the windows 7 RC because of some conflicts with other software I use. It was easy to remove using the program options. I also see that IE can be removed but when I start to remove it, it warns that other components may stop working.

Does anyone have a list of what requires IE to continue working ?

I don't have to remove it, but was just curious.

If it is like previous versions of Windows, removing it from Add/Remove doesn't remove IE from the computer, but just removes the shortcuts from the start menu.

Because IE (explorer) is used to browse the HDD on the computer, you can't simply remove completely (This is why you can open "Computer" and navigate to a URL that you type into the address bar).
