What fan for my case?

I have an Enlight 7237 case with the front fan that was factory installed. I would like to cool my case down a bit and stick one in the back as well. Any suggestions on the size and the make of a fan I should get? Where can I get it at? Does it have everything I need to mount it in there? Do I need to take everything out of my case to put it in?

Thanks in advance!

www.caseetc.com has a nice selection of fans. I got the Panaflo 80mm L1A's. Replaced the one in front, added one for the rear and dumped the loud Delta fan for a 60mm L1A.

Much better, and about 3 degrees warmer. But cuting out the front and rear fan protectors dropped it a couple.

I know I'm going to make a lot of people mad here, but bigger fans don't make a whole lot of difference, just more added noise. If you DO put in monster fans like I have, you gotta have a switch for 'em (Check out my link)

Nestico i agree with ya, big fans=crazy noise BUT they do give good cooling. i use to have a amk case and that sucker had 3 120mm sunon fans in it. sounded like a dang jet, but not i got my antec sx1030 with 4 80m fans and its quiet like anything.

how does the panaflo's L1A's compare to the stock antec fans?

From what I know, the Panaflo fans are quieter than the stock Antec fans for the SX1030. :D However, make sure you get the "quiet" version since some Panaflo's do get around the same noise level as other brands. :D

If you really want a big fan, get the panflo, definatly, ive got one 120mm on top of my case, and its really nice...its about as loud as my 80mm sunon fans, and it puts out alot more air...it really depends on how much noise you can take, personally I like the hum of my computer, louder=more power(ussually) just within moderation. I like the 80mm Sunon fans, they aren't too loud, and put out some good air. Like I said, it really depends on how much noise you can take.

Motero,

Getting a fan that is a different size from what your case is designed for will require you to drill new mounting holes and probably cut a bigger hole in the sheet metal of the case. You'll have to do all of that yourself, as the only thing you'll get with the fan is 4 mounting screws.

Since your Enlight case only has mounting locations for the 1 fan in the front (which looks like an 80mm fan), any additional fans you add are going to require case cutting. If you're going to cut a hole in your case for another fan, I would recommend a "blowhole" in the side of the case, right over the CPU, to pull hot air off it. How you make the hole is up to you, but definately get EVERYTHING away from where you're drilling, as metal fragments are NOT computer friendly.

I like to buy my fans from www.2cooltek.com. He's got a good selection and also sells grills that you can use to cover the fan and give your new blowhole a professional look.

80mm is a good size to start. You can always easily make a hole bigger later... making it smaller if you find out your new 120mm fan is way too loud is a bit of a problem.

I think I'm going with an 80mm Panaflo. There are two model numbers I see on 2cooltek.com. How do I know which one to get, the L1A or H1A?
