I just got contacts for astigmatism. The doctor mentioned a couple of different brands. 'Refresh' and 'Systane'. What have you guys used and recommend?

I don't use drops very often. Are you talking about rewetting drops to use while you're wearing your contacts, or drops for your eyes when you're not wearing contacts? There's a difference. You don't want to use most eye drops while wearing contacts.

Take a look at this Refresh product page: http://www.refreshbrand.com/dryeye/dry-eye-contacts

and note:
These REFRESH® Brand products require removing your contact lenses prior to use:

but there's this product for use with contacts: http://www.refreshbrand.com/Products/refresh-contacts

When I have used rewetting drops, I use the same brand as the contact lens solution I use nightly to store and disinfect my daily wear lenses.

Similisan is the only brand I buy now. Doesn't mess with lenses, no vasoconstricters, no silicone.

In a related question. Where do you guys buy your contacts? Does 1-800-Contacts have good prices?

Although they're stupid expensive, if you use them regularly you'll go through the tiny bottles fairly quickly. It's pretty easy to try a couple brands and see which you prefer. You might not want to use two different drops with the same pair of lenses, so just use one at a time.

I think I've used at least five different mail order places for buying lenses. They're pretty much interchangeable, like buying a brand name drug at a pharmacy. It's very easy to compare prices just by placing your prescription lenses in their shopping cart. In the US, you 'll probably find that they'll all be very close in price, with the smaller, less well-known online sellers maybe knocking a couple dollars off. The last time I ordered was from contactsexpress.ca in Canada and got a great deal with a coupon.

When I switched from Accuvue one a days to Baush & Lomb BioTRUE a year or so ago, while I was in the doctors office I checked the price of BioTRUE's on 1-800-Contacts and my doctor's price crushed their price. Thats the only experience I have with online contact shopping
