No matter what I have done, it has all yielded the same exact results. I have done a few clean installs of ME (I couldn't get 98SE to install properly). I installed the VIA 4.29 drivers, then either the graphics drivers first or DirectX 8 first, depending on the time I did the clean install. I tried both the 7089 drivers and now I am on the 7041 drivers. Every single driver set does the same exact thing: my computer locks up randomly on my desktop and almost right away in 3d games. I have gone back to DirectX 7 and still get the same crap. I just think that their drivers are REALLY PATHETIC! I mean, come on!
So now I need some exact steps to take when doing a clean install and the BEST drivers to use and what exactly to do to get this thing to work. Thanks!
In case you are wondering I am using an MSI K7T Pro mobo with it set to only 2x agp.
