What exactly IS S@H-1?

How long has this "project" been going? Will S@H-2 start immediately after S@H-1 ends? This probably sounds selfish, but are there any rewards for the top teams?
 
This project has been going for just over 4 years. S@H2 will probably start sometime near the end of this year, or beginning of the next, but no one really knows. I guess that S@H1 will stop when S@H2 starts, and the stats will be frozen for the current project, and stats will start again with S@H2 starting.

I doubt there will be any "rewards" as such for the top teams, as in money value, apart from the sense of wellbeing and community that comes from being a part of a large team like Anandtech 🙂

Bragging rights is about it!. It is not like RC-64 where they had a cash prize. Being the one to find "ET" is the only reward, but a really good one!! 🙂

Maybe not give them away, but make them available for like $5. T-shirts are cheap... even if they sold em for $5 they'd probably make a profit, lol.
 
Interesting....My older brother is now setup to make, sell & ship T-shirts. What kind of interest would there be for TA shirts? How much would be a reasonable price? They could have a TA DC graphic and letting on back and a smaller logo on the front with the specific DC project such as TC SETi, Folding, etc. The shirts are cheap as it is the size of the graphic and # of colors that add to the cost.

/if we get some interest here I will start another thread with a poll.
 
good Idea JW> I think that some of us more ambitious members would be willing to front a project where any and all teams could get a T-shirt with there team logo and some other graghics for say for $6 to $8🙂 Do your post 😉 Maybe Team anandtech will profit from the Idea too.

Just be careful with the logos and copyright issues. AnandTech appears to be very picky in this regard. I hope they wouldn't go after you for just printing the word "AnandTech" along with "Team" in a different font and style than what is used in their logo, but you never know. The DC projects would probably appreciate the advertisement, but it would be a good idea to ask them first, anyway.

I guess getting written approval would be in order. But, first we would have to decide on the logo to use. Over the years we have had a bunch of them. I called Louis and he said he would need a copy of the graphic to get a price.
