I keep on hearing people say that Obama is a truth leader with power to get us out of this economic crisis. Dare if I ask a question... what EXACTLY is his plan to get economic in shape and how to solve the raising energy and don't tell me putting billions of dollar onto research into renewable energy that might or might not produce result in 10 or 20 years. And higher tax rate is not going to solve economical problem.

Yaknow, loki, you play the devils advocate too much, you get mistaken for the devil. ;)

Obama has comprehensive plans, easily available to anyone with internet access. Here isn't where you ask about them though, but challenge them, and we all know that, so nice try. Higher taxes are inevitable with either candidate's spending plans. Hell, higher taxes are inevitable from what Bush has already spent, thanks a lot.

it involves a SURGE.

doesn't matter what the problem is, just surge it.

The irony here is that a "surge" or a fully dedicated effort is the way to solve every problem. Except for one thing, it means you have to ignore every other problem in the process.

The same can be asked of McCain. Only difference between Obama and McCain is another 4 years of Bush-like presidency vs an opportunity to CHANGE.

I'd rather take the gamble for a CHANGE than to sit through another 4 years of crap.

His energy policy is anti-oil and anti-nuclear. His energy policy is to hope some new alternative is invented.

His economic policy is the same as any other liberal. Tax the evil rich people and business to give it to others. We will see how that works out in a economic climate we have right now. I have a feeling we are looking at jimmy carter part 2. High inflation high interest rates and double digit unemployment.

I felt that higher tax rate would actually hurt the economy as a whole. Lower tax rate has always led to the growth of economy as peopel can spend more money to goods instead of income tax. 50% of the population don;t even pay income tax. However, what peopel don't realize is that money spend on goods are taxed as well, which would in turn bring more money to the government.

Change? Change what?

If you can't answer the question, then resort to a "Red Herring"! It shifts the spotlight from the true agenda. Typical "O" strategy.

Obama?s plan?

It was written by Karl Marx a hundred years ago. The rich have money, and they?re going to fix that.

He's probably going to lose. He doesn't need a plan.

Obama and his boss Harry Reid don't know what to do. They've already admitted as much.

Since the wealthy have benefited so much from the class warfare that the government and businesses have waged against the lower classes--foreign outsourcing, illegal immigration and mass legal immigration, and displacing Americans from otherwise middle class 1jobs through the use of H-1B and L-1 visas, might redistributing some of the wealth back to the people who should probably, rightfully have it be so awful?

In a very famous novel, after stalking industrialist Hank Rearden in the middle of the night, not to rob him, but just to talk to him and to offer him a bar of gold, the pirate Ragnar Danneskjold extended the bar of gold to him and said "It's not stolen Mr. Rearden, it's yours."

OK oh smart one, explain the mess we are now in thanks to your tax cutting hero Bush?

Oh that's right. You will just blame Clinton and the Democrats again.

Wow.. thats a lot of back and forth... but to the original posters question, here are a few links.

http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/newenergy - click the "read new energy plan link" to d/l a pdf.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITI...nedy.energy/index.html

The Obama-Biden comprehensive New Energy for America plan will:
? Provide short-term relief to American families facing pain at the pump
? Help create five million new jobs by strategically investing $150 billion over the next ten years
to catalyze private efforts to build a clean energy future.
? Within 10 years save more oil than we currently import from the Middle East and Venezuela
combined
? Put 1 million Plug-In Hybrid cars ? cars that can get up to 150 miles per gallon ? on the road by
2015, cars that we will work to make sure are built here in America
? Ensure 10 percent of our electricity comes from renewable sources by 2012, and 25 percent by
2025
? Implement an economy-wide cap-and-trade program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 80
percent by 2050

Read the whole thing, if you are interested is the plan... And to those who say there are no specifics... SHYAAAADUP!
