What exactly is HARD-Drive Caddy?

My friend got whole new CPU cabinet and components except 80gb Hard Drive.

The manual of mother board says that it supports Hard-Drive Caddy. What is Hard Drive Caddy?

The caddy is the piece of hardware that holds the drive in the computer case.

Btw, you can google 'hard drive caddy'. Google is a cool website. Ever heard of it? 😛

I always thought the Hard Drive Caddy was the person that threw the POS HDD up in the air so that the owner could put the HDD out of his misery.

It is another word for an adapter. Basically a caddy is a carrier for the drive. Yes, there is a golf analogy. Golf caddies carry clubs. Computer caddies carry drives. 🙂
