what exactly is DVI

its a digital monitor connection. i would go with the dual dvi in case you ever want to run dual monitors in the future.
they come with dvi to vga adapters so you can use normal monitors too.

DVI is for LCD's, you will never use DVI with a CRT. If you won't use more than two LCD's, get the cheaper one with 1 DCI and 1 VGA port.

if you wont use more than two...i will always be using ONE, so get the cheaper one correct

get the cheaper one. 2 monitors is not that great and i find it no use to do them. plus, if you wanted to, you can connect 2 analog monitors with the added dvi-vga connector. but get the cheaper one, its the exact same on i have.
