Ok so i'm a newbie and i'm ordering an OEM tbird 1.2 GHZ 266. But i've been seeing poeple talk about the axia chip or whether or not its axia or not. My questions are, how do i know if the chip i'm getting is AXIA, and where can i get an AXIA tbird 1.2 ghz. Thanx in advance.

well AXIA code generally overclocks pretty well
You can tell if the chip is axia by looking at it it should contain the words AXIA on the 2nd line

AXIA is a type of stepping...they overclock well...but those were way back...somewhere around week 9's. Only Axia's that do OC well from what i've heard is the AXIA Y (week 9 i think or something like that). AYHJA's are doing better...but those AXIA's back then had better OCing ability. These recent AXIA's like AXIA C 1.33 are having a hard even breaking 1.5.

Why order a AXIA 1.2...most likely you'll get a AXIA C...just pay a few bucks more and the get 1.33 AYHJA. I think newegg has them from what i heard. But my friend ordered his last week and got an AXIA K.

Price/performance issue I guess. I got a 1.2 Axia from Newegg yesterday and it runs fine at 1.4gHz. Is it worth the extra $30 to buy a 1.33 right off? I didn't think so.
