what exactly is a weis beer?

just got done drinking a 6er of leinenkugels honey weis and i whish i would've spent the money on something else... the first sip there was a lot of flavor, but after that it was like nothing. no aftertaste, nothing

so dissapointed

Weis beer is very light and is usually served during the Summer months to counteract the hot weather (which in Germany is around 78 degrees F).

I actually like Leinenkugels. Although I prefer the creamy dark. It works out well since that stuff is perpetually on sale at the local supermarket.

Try Paulaner Hefeweizen instead with a slice of lemon. Much better beer than Leiney.

It's "White" because it is unfiltered and there are particles floating in it.
As said, they are generally "summer" beers.

Leinie's isn't bad, but I wouldn't really consider HoneyWeiss a white beer, or Berry Weiss, for that matter. If you want to try a white beer, go for Blue Moon, or Hoegaarden...

EWWWWW!!! where in the hell did you see that? I lived in Germany for 4 years and i NEVER saw a German molest his or her beer like that, and i drank a lot of beer over there in many many many gausthaus.
