What exactly is a Clog shoe for?

Was just perusing for a decent pair of new shoes that would compliment my professional look on some sales calls, and ran across some clogs. I've heard of these before, but I'm not nearly the shoe kind of guy, so I have no idea what these are for. Is it sad that I'm 24 years old and I don't know this kind of thing?

Was looking at these, and didn't know if these are the kind that I'm looking for. Feel free to mock me, I feel stupid for asking this.

Dancing on a biker bar in a gray suit with red bowtie will searching for your stolen bike housed in the bottom of the Alamo while also dancing to the song Tequila. That's the only valid use for them.

WTF?? Did anyone even read the thread or go to the link I provided? It's not a fvcking clogging shoe, idiots. It's a shoe called a clog. And I'm trying to figure out if these are typically casual wear or can they be used in a professional environment (would they look right).

Indeed, this is now become the dumbest thread of the month due to the exceedingly ignorant replies that keep coming.

they are casual slippers. I wouldnt wear slippers to work. I would wear slippers when walking about the city, walking around the mall, in the apartment, around school.

I work in a business-casual environment. I wear Birk clogs almost every day. I wouldn't wear them with a suit, but they are fine with more casual places. They are the most comfortable shoes and you can just kick them off under your desk and step back into them when you get up :D

The link is blocked to me here at work, but if these are what I think they are then turn in your man card.

Men should never wear shoes without sole backs.

I have a pair of Timbs just like those too... Great for a business-casual kinda work environment as Jzero said. I usually wear khakis and a polo shirt and these go well with that. I pretty much kick mine off as soon as I get to the cubicle and only put them back on to go to lunch and go home :)

Oh yeah, and they are kick-ass for clogging too ;)
