What exactly does clearing CMOS do?

Does it reset your mobo? Does it "delete" BIOS? as in you hafta re-flash it...or do you simply hafta re-flash your current BIOS, if it isnt the shipping one? (or none of these? hehe)

it actually resets all the changes you ve made back to default.
and no it doesnt delete your bios.
flashing your bios means to load a new version into the rom.

that's a good idea especially if you've tweaked some settings!
 
well cant u just remember them... i wish there is a way to save the setting on a floppy but i ain't writting them down. how do u write down stuff u changes in so many sub menus?
