1st year - big foray into college life. partied lots. got carried away. did lots of things. Memorable. seems LONG. terrible grades
2nd year - sophomore slump. like 1st year, but toned down. seems like didnt do ANYTHING. terrible grades
3rd year - worked my ass off. more matured and balanced partying lifestyle. improved grades. worked my ass off
4th year - victory lap... partied downtown instead of house parties. partied HARD when partied. worked SMART when needed to. awesome grades

i guess very typical progression

edit: partied, drank, drugged... like a loser

I'm on my eighth year and 2 classes from my second degree. I can tell you lots of stories. :D

But to start with, drinking to get drunk got old pretty quick.... By the time I was 22, I had acquired tastes for the heavier liquors and just about every kind of beer imaginable. :p Now I'm a scotch and red wine drinker with the occasional dark beer...but only 2-3 nights a week unless I'm working on cleaning out the liquor cabinet.

During college, I worked full time. Heck, I've had a full time job since I was 19. Pay wasn't always great, but it's put me through school and supported my living expenses.

I learned to snowboard, play GOOD pranks on people, learned how to date girls, and learned how to be an automechanic and carpenter (fixing up my house). :)

Maybe once I finish my second degree, I'll look for something higher up the food chain and for more money. Either that, or I'll pick another subject and dive back into the books for a while. I'm trying to decide what careers I want to persue in my life. I've already achieved my dream of being a Sys Admin. Hard to say what I'll shoot for next.

Lets just say my going out / beer expense made it seem like I was paying for 3 semesters out of a 2 semester year. . .but probably more than that.

Year 1. Drink Beer or Work. Get bad grades, but good enough to stay in on academic probation.
Year 2. Work, when not working Drink Beer, Drink Rum, Drink Whiskey, Drink Vodka, Drink Beer, Drink Beer, Drink Everclear.

My program proved to be ineffective as I was asleep during the time in which the morning and daytime classes were taking place. I was drunk when there were night classes.

I studied hard and dated my professor. Then I realized she looked just like my ex. I put a stop to that immediately.

Busted my ass the first 2 years of school to get my GPA up, also worked nearly 40 hours a week at night. Last 2 years I went out more, worked more, and kept my grades up. Got a job 1 month outta school...enjoyed what I did, almost wish I went to grad school...oh well. Twas fun, but I needed to move on.

Studied more than most, copied a good amount (engineering just got too annoying), went out, joined a fraternity, joined and was active in a couple other organizations, partied, dated a few girls casually, went to football games, went to basketball games, was president of said fraternity, got my first serious girlfriend, broke up with girlfriend, took a light load, relaxed, surfed on ATOT, drank, dated a girl just for the hookup, applied to graduate school, got into graduate school, graduated magna cum laude
