What exaclty does smonitor.exe do, I know it is a program related to the Herculese Game Theater XP

Every time I start my computer I get a message saying, smonitor.exe has genertaed errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created. Can i fix this somehow?
