Lebron questioning whether or not he'll attend the Slam Dunk championships. Man, if we had Vince, JRich, LeBron, Kobe, and TMac going at it, that would be fun to watch.

Don't forget D-Mase.
All his dunks look pretty.
Richardson can do a lot of stuff while in the air, but his dunks look like he is trying too hard.

They ruined the dunk contest by changing the format so many times. They should have kept it like it was, with someone like Nike or Reebok putting up a slam dunk champion shoe contract or something. The newer formats make it lame, and stars don't like looking dumb. Also, the judges are retards. Who cares if Kareem or Magic are judges, those guys were terrible dunkers. And I hate to say it, but Dr J couldn't do half of the dunks that they do today.

He is, after all, over 50 now. :D

You do realize that modern dunking wouldn't exist without what he did. Also, his rock the cradle dunk against the Lakers in the finals is still one of the greatest "in-game" dunks IMHO.

Not a dunk, but how many modern players can do this?

There's no incentive for the best dunkers to participate anymore.

Uh, the slam dunk contest has been begging to be put out of it's misery for years. The slam dunk contest is about as interesting as the Pro Bowl. Or the NBA all star game for that matter.
