My brother and I would always stop at a various chicken restaruant in Inglewood when we would go to the forum. The bulletproof glass and little rotating plexiglass turntable used for exchanging money for chicken made it seem like you could be held up and killed at any moment.
If you're into fried chicken, Inglewood is definately #1 most densily permiated chicken city in all California.
The best chicken dinner I ever had was at a place called Shatley (sp?) Springs somewhere in North Carolina. It was all the "homestyle" food you could eat and they had rocking chairs on the porch out front so you could relax after stuffing your face with some of the best southern cooking known to man.
Edit: I found a link to
Shatley Springs. Hasn't been updated since 1999... hope the place is still there.
And
another. Mmmm... southern cooking.
